New units for PC2
Dear developers,
I wanted to make a request related to the unit pool:
1. When will the unit pool be increased again, since there weren't that many new units in DLC 1943?
New unit models that differ significantly from the previous units would be very desirable:
• Bicycle troops (infantry with bicycles for transport)
• Mortar troops (infantry with grenade launcher, artillery usage)
• Artillery tractor vehicles (SU: S-65, FR: Laffly/Somua)
• Single person motorcycle (IT: Moto Guzzi)
• Command ships (US: USS Ancon)
• Troop carrier ships
• Transport ships (US: Liberty class)
• Escort carrier ships
2. Some of the modders would be quite capable of making new unit models and bringing them into the game. The big question here is how will a new 3D model be integrated into the game? This is about the right technique to realize movement and the sound, how does it link to a skin color and the insignia? It would be nice if there will publish a “how to” script for this. This is an offer to help and support the developers. This would benefit the game and the players.

Re: New units for PC2
New models: su-76i might be the only one? And while it was cool for them to represent the Soviets using captured German stuff for a change, the stats were pretty meh
New units: Azul 43 and maybe Kavallerie 43? I didn't think Germany had a 43 upgrade for cavalry, but it appeared about halfway through the campaign
I was hoping we would get some more experimental designs this year, like the Pz III/IV (maybe in '44?), the Heuschrecke 10 as a German KV-2, Geschützwagen Tiger for the 17cm, or someone mentioned the Skoda T-25

Re: New units for PC2
Mainly I would like specific 3d models for some existing units that use identical or wrong models to others.
For example, all flamethrower tanks and panzers do not have details that distinguish them from their respective ordinary models (except OT34 which however uses the t34 / 43 model instead of T34 / 41).
Then there is the whole KV1 series which is identical from 40 to 42.
The Italian G50 fighter is identical to the RE2000 but should be more similar to the MC200 Saetta.
Then new units are always welcome, especially infantry!

Re: New units for PC2
It might be something added by the PanzerCorps 1 GC mod? Similar to how the capital ships can switch to AA mode in the base game if you have that mod enabled
Re: New units for PC2
Kavalerie 43 does not exist in the base game. the mod adds them yes, since kavalerie was still present in 43.Sequester Grundleplith, MD wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 12:06 pm It might be something added by the PanzerCorps 1 GC mod? The outfit distinguishes between Azul Infanterie and Azul Infanterie 43 :
Re: New units for PC2
After some players have commented on the topic, it would be very nice if the developers could say something about this, please.

Re: New units for PC2
I think we kinda need to figure out what units we want in when the DLCs are over. 1943 was kinda lacking for units and i kinda feel some important stuff is going to be missing as result. What i writen here would IMHO cover everything.
I think Recon might be simplest with only needing
Sd. Kfz. 234/3Sd. For Early 1944
Kfz. 234/4 For Late 1944 Early 1945.
And then Perhaps One Fictional vehicle for 1945 Hypothetical
Anti Air Definitely could use Corelian for 1944
as well as Ostwind II for 1945
Wheres For Self Propeled
Heuschrecke makes perfect sense for Late 1944 as one unit then purchasable in 1945
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heuschrecke_10
The Heavy Tank destroyers are well covered.
Perhaps Devs could add fictional Jadmaus but it isnt necessary.
However the Light Tank destroyers are lacking and perhaps having the E10 or E25 could help here.
Not sure what to do for Artilery. Perhaps Adding Sturm Panther of sorts and the perhaps another Vehicle ?
For Tanks i think Adding the E50 and E100 along with Perhaps Panther variant of Flame tank might be good ? Perhaps some fictional Panzer IV variant ?
For Infantry Perhaps Assault Rifle infantry and German Shocktroopers with Bodyarmor in variant in Soviet Shocktroops ?
For Strategic Bombers Heinkel He 277 might fill the gap between Late 1942 and as it would come in Early 1944 if not cancelled and Never Build Stuff
Fighters i actually think are pefrectly covered.
Tactical Bombers could use HS129 C and D Variants but those are simple reskins
Oh as and Aside. PLEASE GIVE US SOME TANK HEROES @Kerensky

Re: New units for PC2
Yes, but at the same time existing ones also need stat changes. The Hetzer is somehow better than the StuG IIIG, but should not be and should for sure not be a 5 slot AT vehicle at the same time. The whole point of it was that it was supposed to be a cheap gun platform. This was said in a few other threads and I agree with the whole concept. Light self-propelled AT guns should be a thing more. Not as efficient in stats, but very efficient in slots.CaesarCzech wrote: ↑Mon Jul 04, 2022 3:02 pm However the Light Tank destroyers are lacking and perhaps having the E10 or E25 could help here.
Re: New units for PC2
I would like to see more of the early war tank variations, for example the flame tanks.
Char B2 (f) or the OT-26 and the KW-8.
I have read that the germans used variations of panzer I and II as flametanks aswell, but i havent found more information about this.

We already have the OT26 but unfortunately it has the exact same 3D model as the T26…Bee1976 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 3:14 pm I would like to see more of the early war tank variations, for example the flame tanks.

While were at it!... how about considering an "All-Seeing-Eye-Of-Sauron"... from the 'Hobbit-Movie-Series'. This would take the mystery out of the 'Enemies' where-abouts!.ChristianC wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 1:31 am Yes. Power to the players!

Re: New units for PC2
I only noticed today that the Italian Saharan infantry, the one that dismount from its reconnaissance unit, has the 3d model of the German infantry instead of the Italian one.
It would be perfect if a specific model was created for this infantry, as exist yet for the respective British unit

AFAIK that's because Italian 1943 infantry is just a reskinned German one.GUNDOBALDO08 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 07, 2022 10:52 am I only noticed today that the Italian Saharan infantry, the one that dismount from its reconnaissance unit, has the 3d model of the German infantry instead of the Italian one.

I have no idea why (perhaps it's a way to portray Italian Social Republic's army).
Unfortunately, almost all infantry skins in the game are a total mess.
