LOS wonkiness?

Post by Fodderland »

Here's a line-of-sight situation that I don't understand - how does the cannon, "see" my horse on the back slope of the hill here, to shoot at it?

The simple answer is that the LOS algorithm (which we have no control over as it is in the engine, not in scripts) isn't perfect.

It does seem to see units on reverse slopes, though won't see them if they are on the flat behind the hill.

Now that's a good answer - thanks :) (and useful - just treat the back slope as visible-from-the-hilltop, and don't get shot).
