Poland 1939 mod
Hello there, fellow commanders
Reconing for some new Order of Battle material, I stepped into this relatively new mod/campaign about the Polish Army in the beginning of WW2. I have failed to found a previous notice of this project in the forum, so I thought it would be a good idea to bring it here and give the author some well deserved recognition.
Before anyone gets too excited, the mod is just available (to my knowledge) in polish. But besides that, the project looks indeed both finished and very attractive!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LZI9a6zxT8
The description of the mod (auto-translated from polish): "Announcement of the mod for the game Order of Battle WW2. The campaign of the Polish Army from the great maneuvers in Volhynia in September 1938 to the fights on the Romanian suburbs in 1939. Lead your armored and motorized units through the hell of the blitzkrieg. Battles on a battalion/squadron scale. Additional artillery units, battalions of National Defense and KOP, TKS tankettes with 20 mm NKM, new camouflage patterns for vehicles, added Polish commanders from the September Campaign. Among the battles, clashes such as: Bory Tucholskie, Bzura, Mokra, Piotrków, Mława, Mińsk Mazowiecki, Brest, Tomaszów Lubelski, Lviv... The premiere is planned for May 2022".
I found it in what I think it's the youtube channel of the author https://www.youtube.com/@pietvanels89 which has a complete playthrough (16 scens) of the campaign.

Nice find LND!!!
If you run the "txt" files through an online translator, you get quite the good results IMO:
(I've used https://www.deepl.com and a German translation; those next-gen neural-network AIs are incredible nowadays)
It's also nice to see that my armoured train models and some unit stats from my mod are being used by others...

Online translators have certainly reached a height, but there seems to be a text in English , but it does not turn on ) What exactly are you translating into your native language so that I can translate the same files into Russian already )?GabeKnight wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 4:54 am Nice find LND!!!

Re: Polska 1936 mod
The "text_english" files are only named that way. They're actually in Polish language. Those you need to open and translate. There's one inside every scen and also the campaign main folder.bondjamesbond wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 6:28 pm What exactly are you translating into your native language so that I can translate the same files into Russian already )?
Re: Polska 1936 mod
What Gabe said. You have to create a second txt (for example, for spanish it will be called "text_spanish.txt") in each scenario folder and paste into them the translation. Mind that that some automatic translators could mess with the first word of each line, which shouldn't be changed; again, for example, in the english file one line could look as:
unit_102 = First Regiment
and in the spanish file should appear as:
unit_102 = Primer Regimiento
leaving unit_102 unaltered/untranslated.
You can take a look into the folder of a scenario from an official DLC where several languages are present to use them as example.
Finally, bond, mind that besides each of the scenario files, you should also translate the campagin file and if we are talking about a mod, like Polska 1936, the mod file (inside the language folder).

Nareszcie coś dla nas Polaków!!! So happy you found this, LN!
Re: Polska 1936 mod

Re: Polska 1936 mod
LNDavoust, don't worry. I know this forum. Unfortunately, I don't speak English well enough to address more complex, technical issues. GabeKnight thanks for the very nice armored trains, and I'm sorry that I allowed myself to use them without asking permission, as well as several other models. Oh, and the mod is called "Poland 1939", not 1936.
Re: Poland 1939 mod
Title changed (sorry for that)!
I wrote you in your YT channel, Zbrolo, asking you for permission to publish the mod here, hope it's not a problem. I don't want to pester you in a double way, so just let me briefly thank you here for releasing the mod

Re: Poland 1939 mod
"No problemo amigo". At the beginning I was planned to translate text files into English, but at some point it exceeded my skills. Translator can't handle with everything. Besides, I didn't think that the mod would arouse wider interest outside the polish gaming community. Thank you for your positive opinion. Unfortunately, I didn't see your message on YT channel.

Dzięki. I o to chodzi, wreszcie można powalczyć Wojskiem Polskim. Thanks. It's nice that someone enjoys it. I'm still working to expand campaign. There will be additional forks and scenarios. I plan to add scenarios: Narew Line, Vistula Line, First Tomaszów Lubelski, Kutno, Kampinos, Siege of Warsaw and the entire path of the 10th Armored-Motorized Brigade in the Krakow Army. From the Beskid to Lviv and the hungarian border.

Re: Poland 1939 mod
Myślę, że znalazłem problem.... I am having a problem in the "Włocławek" scenrio. I blow both bridges prior to the end of the scenario as indicated, in Płock and Włocławek, and the the victory condition is not triggered...
Re: Poland 1939 mod
Ok, I will check it.

Re: Poland 1939 mod
It seems that problem is solved. It's probably a matter of changes in the last DLC. Previously, my settings worked without problems. Here is the link to the corrected files. They should be unpacked into the folder Mods.
