Brand new copy of game wont start after Game Loader

Hi there,

Long time player here and I got a copy of the game for my son during the Steam Sale (and the Epic giveaway.) However no matter where he installs it from (Epic or Steam) the game starts, opens the loader screen and then when you press play, it just stops. Steam goes back to showing the game ready to play, but not running. Epic basically does the same. I have not been able to find any game logs that were created. I reinstalled all his video drivers. The game was a fresh install, and I tried both Steam and Epic installs (together and separately.) No matter what, we can get the game to start. We even tried two different laptops.

In the meantime, my copy on my computer works fine.
