OK, the match above needs to be scored 2-0 to Questar17 on the basis of that screenshot. I will leave this up to day and then edit cromlechi's post when I come to do the Sunday round-up tomorrow.

Group D

hidde (Viking) beat rs2excelsior (Anglo-Saxon) 62-55

(3-1)

Final positions Group D
1. hidde …………….11 points
2. Cunningcairn ..11 points
3. rs2excelsior …… 2 points

hidde and Cunningcairn tied on 11 points each so I had to use the tie-breaker looking at the two matches between them. hidde beat Cunningcairn 24-22 on the tiebreaker (by one skirmisher unit!) - stockwellpete

Perhaps I've misread the rules then as I thought to get a victory you had to rout the enemy. I am not really bothered about the result but not sure what the screenshot proves. Not going to rehearse this any more but where I could attack without zero chance of success I did. Perhaps Pete can explain the rules to mee.

Division D

SawyerK (Pyrrhic) defeated grumpdaddy845 (Greek) by 40-11.

The Greeks brought the mass of their army to bear on their right flank and their hoplites made excellent progress against the Pyrrhic's Samnite allies and cavalry but a pike unit that went pikes out managed to last three rounds to restrict Greek progress while the rest of the pikes broke through the center despite a multi-layered Greek defense.

The screenshot is showing Gepids lost 17% and Scots-Irish 31% so the Gepids were leading 31-17. Under Rule 5 you get "2 points - for a tie where both players score 60% or more, or for a draw where a player has scored at least 25%." So the match is drawn as neither army has broken and the Gepid player gets 2 points for scoring more than 25% and the Scots-Irish player gets 0 points for not crossing the 25% threshold. So this is a differential draw, not a victory of any kind.

Div B

Karvon (Parthian with Arab allies) drew vs IMC (Moorish) 35 - 28 for a 2-2 score.

Moorish skirmishers came down from the hills and across the stream to play while their medium foot watched from the heights. In a long swirling duel, the Parthian horse managed to kill or chase off a bit more than we lost to the javelin barrages.

Final ending positions at nightfall

(2-2)

Reading it again I put 31% against my name and 17% against questar17 to avoid confusion as it was a draw and you could see what percentage we each had. If I had just posted the score you would not be able to know who had what score. I had the last turn so thought it my duty to report. Cant see how what I posted was inaccurate thought it made it clearer. How should I have posted the result? Or should I have left it to my opponent. The method you ask for is only clear where there is a winner.

If you had posted it cromlechi (Scots-Irish) 17% v Questar17 (Gepids) 31% then I would have scored it (0-2) straight away.

I have anticipated this occasional problem since the early seasons of the FOG2DL by putting this message in the first post of each of the results threads . . .

"Please use the following format when reporting your results . . .

Division A

hidde (Romans) beat stockwellpete (Dacians) 50-25

It is very helpful to me if we all get used to reporting the results in the same way, so please report the score as 50-25 rather than 25-50. This avoids much confusion when discussing match situations by PM with regards to adjudication or some other issue regarding the rules of the tournament."

Weekly round-up
There are still 4 players with perfect records in Division A. dkalenda (Assyrian) is top followed by harveylh (Arab), but further down the table both XLegione (Lydian) and klayeckles (Kyrenean Greeks) have 100% records. markwatson360 (Aetolian) has opened up a 7 point lead over second-placed nyczar (Spartan), who has won all his 3 matches so far and has 3 games in hand. I am expecting pompeytheflatulent (Median) to put in a challenge after securing 2 wins after an opening match defeat. In Division C baldrick52 (Kyrenean Greek) has completed his matches and sits just 4 points ahead of second-placed lunecastle (Babylonians) who has won all 5 of his matches and currently looks to be the strong favourite to win automatic promotion.

Unbeaten runs of 3 matches or more
dkalenda (Division A) 6 matches
harveylh (Division A) 4 matches
markwatson360 (Division B) 3 matches
nyczar (Division B) 3 matches
baldrick52 (Division C) 4 matches and finished
lunecastle (Division C) 5 matches

Match completion rate (45 matches in total to be played in each division)
Division A - 22 out of 45 matches completed :D
Division B - 17 out of 45 matches completed :D
Division C - 24 out of 45 matches completed :D

These are good match completion rates. :D

Player of the week
dkalenda (Division A) with 3 wins this week. :D
