I'm trying to play my first turn in Biblical, but when the turn tries to load it presents an error telling me it can't fiond a particualr unit and when I click okay a couple of times the game crashes. I am using th enew TT mod (otherwise I'd not have been able to accept my opponent's challenge), how do I overcome this?

Is it possible for a unit to triple drop?
I just had my CinC, who hadnt been in combat at any point and hadn't taken a single casualty, break when backing up from the enemy. He was steady when he backed up, I am certain of it. That would be a triple cohesion drop from backing up. He wasn't threaetend on his flank or anything wierd like that. He backed up into clear, flat open ground, with the entirety of my side of the battlefield behind him.

No, it shouldn't be possible to triple-drop from any single source.

That's what I thought. I didn't think it was possible to double drop from backing up, either.

Unfortunately, I have had double drops withdrawing from the enemy so that is possible but rare as I can remember it only once or twice. Also, I believe the morale class was raw.

Double drops are the bane of this game at the moment, constantly bringing catastrophic results in otherwise innocuous situations, taking skill away from players and making the random factor in the game mechanism the decider of games. Pushes armies towards less risk taking, and more static boring tactics.

I'm pretty certain it must have been a triple drop, since he was at full strength 240/240. He couldn't have had his cohesion dropped by impact, melee of shooting, without having taken any casualties, and he hadn't backed up previously.
Is there a bug reporting thread where this could be investigated?

Any chance it lost cohesion previously due to friendly unit routing next to it or another general being killed?

Did he start disordered in poor terrain perhaps?

Yes, it is called the Technical Forum. Or alternatively post it in the main forum. I can only deal with tournament related queries (e.g. the rules of competition) here.

Could that be it? The unit looks steady but is disordered because of terrain and then double drops to rout!

I remember a superior lancer unit(with general, if that matter) double drop on me after fall back two squares.
Made me lose the whole cavalry detachment on that flank.

No, it doesn't work this way. Disorder and disruption are two entirely different conditions.

It happens far too often as has been said numerous times in the past. But not nearly as annoying as the rallies of spent troops too far away to do anything yet turn the tide of a battle.

Combination of double drops and lopsided rallies from rout decides a huge number of games, de-skills and passes outcome to chance.

It seems to be like the old argument about RNG.. I think that the game is okay regarding double drops and rallies. Yes, chance but nothing on the battlefield in real life was precisely premeditated and exact.

If that's the case why do dkalenda and pantherboy keep trashing me over and over again? Seems to me like the game rewards skill more than anything still.

And let's not forget Nosy_Rat. And I agree with SnuggleBunnies, they beat me more often than not. However Cunningcain has a point in that close games can be decided by luck. And luck usually averages out in my experience.
