Don't the Syrians/Caananites do the same thing for the Hittites?
Hittites get Lt Spear mob types in 8s, not the more efficient 6s, and taking Syro-Canaanites trigger some minimums, but not bad choices. Mitanni can be a shooty-focused army - chariots and foot. Hittites don't do that, but have a lot of other options.

But Mittani lt spear units in 6 only have 3 lt spear in them.

Why not? They can take Bow for their chariots, their chariots can also be light, and they can have lots of shooting foot. They have to have some Lt spear but so does Mitanni. Sorry, still not seeing the difference, maybe it's just me being a thick as a blubber sandwich thickie.

These are MF bow behind MF Light Spear, Swordsmen - a good combo.
Aha, I see thanks for that.
Light Chariots and Heavy Chariots are in the Hittite list, the Mitanni Have oodles of Light Chariots and can get Hittite heavy ones through an ally.
Another interesting point, though then I'd have to make Hittites anyway!

We have "Softer than Beagles", "Oafs of frailty" any more?
Oafs of Futility I think you'll find and, maybe, Lies of Rome would be somehow appropriate.
Oafs of Futility applied to the Detroit Lions in 2008 during the superb 0-16 gridiron season.

to be honest from the look of the lists a lot of crossover seems t be involved, with mitianni having hittite allies and vice versa, plus both getting subject or allied caananites.
both would probably be good, though my old dbm mitianni are generic essex , so a specific range if enough data is around could be a nice option.
that said a early assyrian range might be popular and i'm sure uratians would be too?

Hittites will sell better.
My preference would be Ugaritic in the S-C list

Do you have a sample 800 point list for Ugaritic. I have an old army and are just starting in FoG and wondered about a standard list.
Cheers,
Matt
