I finally received word from DCK who is conceding the battle with alexrus as of now with 10 turns left remaining.  He has confessed to holding just 2 cities in both games and as such is not expecting some miraculous comeback.

So that means our last 4 competitors for the last 2 rounds will be:

woken vs paulwalvoord

and

alexrus vs kingshafter


Round 5 shall be posted tomorrow morning when I wake up and will be going until September 15th.

The 2 winners will be going into the final to compete for 1st and 2nd place.  

The 2 not so fortunate will continue on to the final as well to compete for 3rd place.

Hi all. a great tournament. there are a couple of issues. how to see who killed how many units? after all, the winner is the one who took more cities(I think so), or he who destroyed more units? what are prestige points and what are they? for DCK: I would love to play our games, ready to play with you anything of your choice. you're a very strong player. thank you)

That is right people, semi finals brings us to the Desert for a last gasp of Summer Spectacular action.

We are stepping up the complexity for these final 2 rounds.  Now you will need to be strategic and plan accordingly as you never know where the enemy may strike.

Oh yeah just for clarification.

Here are the terms for winning Round 5.

1st determiner:
One with the most Primary Objectives wins between both games.
2nd determiner: (If 1st determiner is the same)
The one with the most Secondary Objectives
3rd determiner: (If 1st and 2nd are the same)
The one with the most prestige.


All right I hope this clears things up. And for extra excitement, the developers would love to have the replays of your matches for a nice little video they are going to produce for the final match ups, so if you need recording software let me know so they can shoot you a link or something.

Blood and Sand battle update:
Without giving to much away I can say that the men of both armies are exhausted, severely burned and dying not only from their enemies but from thirst. Both sides are determined to wrest victory from the enemy and the elements. Too many good men have been lost and the their green replacemens can't imagine the hardships that await them. Perhaps our leaders can find a more civilized way to resolve their differences. The battle continues...

Out of ammunition, surrounded and deep behind enemy lines, they dug in and mounted their bayonets.
Tonight we drink to the 31st British Paratroopers of Hill 1129 !

Here is the Casualty report for Woken vs Walvoord (turn 15 i believe). I believe as of this moment Walvoord has a 7-6 edge in cities, but Woken is applying pressure in several key areas especially in the center.

5 turns left and i believe that Woken is winning 7-6 in one of them and 8-5i the other but Walvoord is contesting several centers i believe this one will be a nail bitter!

In the Western desert, Woken has proven the superior general with a victory in both matches by a score of 8-5.

All right the Final is set, and I will try and post by Sunday at the latest the Finale, but probably Saturday as I am so super excited. This has been so exciting and if any have saved their replays please send them to me as I am excited to watch and get my buddy hurly to post...

With that said all 4 players will take part in the Finale

This is it...It all comes down to this moment...

The final 4 have faced off and 2 will be fighting for 3rd and 4th place, the other 2 have braved all the way through 5 other opponents to now face off in this epic battle royale.  

I have asked fro 3 scenarios that they desired to play, and I have 2 matches that were on at least 2 of the players, so all are ready to play at least one of these scenarios.  

So we will be playing 2 Paired matches on these scenarios...

The rules are the player on the left will set up the match up:

Undo off
Show Moves Off

The 2 matches are a couple of epic battles of Germany versus Russia

Iron Cross vs Red Star
and
Return to Kiev

The parameters for winning:
Whoever wins the majority of Main Objectives on all 4 scenarios...so save screen shots...actually the replays, please so I can pass onto Hurly and Alberto as he has something special planned...
(In fact we would all love to see any results from the Quarter Finals)

If by some miracle the 2 players end up with the same number of Main Objectives on all 4 scenarios then it will come down to most 2ndary Objectives...

If by some insane line up of the stars that those all end up being the same, then the final determiner will be the amount of prestige saved on all 4 matches.

Since this will be 4 intense matches, I will give you an entire month to get this done and reported back to me.

(Now you do not need to wait that long, but if it takes that long we will understand. )
