If you haven't done so, try to delete the contents of the cache folder and try it again after a reboot. The folder can usually found here: "Documents/My Games/Panzer Corps 2/Cache"88Flak wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 1:40 am Just ran into something odd for the first time. I've played 1943 several times, but this time after I completed Dnepropetrovsk and hit continue to move on to the next scenario, the game seems to get about 25% loaded and it stops responding.
I can go back and reload any and all previous saves, but it seems to be roadblocked when trying to load Kremenchug. I went back to a previously saved Dnepropetrovsk that I played months ago and the same thing. Then I tried to load a turn 0 Kremenchug from months ago and the same thing.
Ideas?
Thanks.

I need a little help regarding the Suez Canal mission. The game does not acknowledge the conquest of 2 victory hexes at all, although I won them all, so it’s a loss after the last move every time. Is there a solution? Thanks in advance!

Zujo-the "cheese" answer/solution is to use the cheat code...runany Victory 0. Do this before you complete the last turn of the scenario...and the scenario victory screen will then be displayed.
Re: Grand Campaign 1939-1945 (Custom Campaign)
Thanks Resolute. Tried it and no difference. It's just the PC1 Kremenchug scenario - the AO43 one works fine as does every other save I have.
If I try to do advanced options at the results screen, I get an Unreal Engine 4 Crash.

Do you habe any other mods installed? You could also try to "verify integrity of game files" and run a check. On Steam, just right-click on the game and then go to properties and then "local files".88Flak wrote: ↑Sun Jul 31, 2022 6:12 pm Thanks Resolute. Re: Grand Campaign 1939-1945 (Custom Campaign)
Could someone please direct me to a link with the newest working version of the campaign? My active version has the Suez Canal mission with the correct map orientation (west to east). However, after the briefing for the next mission (the one with the pipelines), the game skips right away to the move 1, i.e. I do not get the chance to upgrade and set my army at all! There is no „move 0“! Is there a solution? Thanks in advance!

You can find the download link for the latest version on the first page of this thread.Zujo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 7:54 pm Could someone please direct me to a link with the newest working version of the campaign? In case you got the mod via Steam, you should already have the latest version.
Re: Grand Campaign 1939-1945 (Custom Campaign)
Played it with 1.4 patch again, still Jak 3 in moscow. My best planes have defence 9 - the jak 3 has 14 !!!
Is that intended ? Because the other soviet planes are super weak. I solved the problem with not using planes at all. 2 15 overstrength flaks with range 4, stealth and rapid fire did the job. Who needs planes at moscow ? (felt like protected by modern sams ...they died so fast)
Btw: Does anybody know, when the jak 3 was first used in war ? I think late 42, early 43. If the soviets would have had such a powerful plane in 41, we couldnt have achieved air dominance in 41. Or did they have only small numbers of these very well armored plane ? (i always thought the sturmovik was the super armored plane, not the jak ....)

jak-3 was developed parellel to jak-1 in 1940. main diff is the Jak-3 was full metall instead of wood.
Due to low resources it was not mass produced until 1943.
Having to face the early versions during a moscow attack which is fictional alrdy seems fair to me.

Metal instead of wood, explains a lot. My Spitfire 2 with bar and two other heroes was without chance. But the two overstr. 88er took care of the russians. Maybe an overstrength Spitfire would have done the same.
Btw.: Demyansk pocket has no snow in february. All green, is that intended ?
No planes is even better on this map. You can position your ground troops in a way that ALL are under the protection of an overstrengh flak with kills inst. of surpression. Used an ovstr. hero too, so its a 20 88 gun. Mostly it kills everything, or the ai airforce dont dare to attack at all. Instead it bombed the allied ai on the map all the time. Now allied ai is finally good for something.

This is mistake. The first version of the Yak-3 (I-30) was developed in 1941 independently of the Yak-1. It had a mixed wood and metal construction. I-30 is an experienced cannon fighter. In various documents it was designated as I-30, I-26U, Yak-3 model 1941, Yak-1M. It was built in two copies (I-30-1, I-30-2 "Understudy"). Not used at the front.Grondel wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 12:33 pm @o_t_d_x

The front-line serial fighter, called the Yak-3, was developed as an improved version of the Yak-1 in 1943, and was first used at the front in 1944 during the Lvov-Sandomierz operation in Ukraine.
The use of the Yak-3 in the game before 1944 is a mistake or delusion
Re: Grand Campaign 1939-1945 (Custom Campaign)
I think that we need to accept that there have to be slightly fictional elements, in a mod that offers an alternative historical perspective. I admit I had no idea about the history of the Yak-3 development, however encountering it in a fictional 1943 Wehrmacht advance to Moscow, did not spoil my game and did not offend my feelings. Again, thanks to the modders for all their hard work.

Love the work done on these, we all owe a great debt to Grondel and the others for the effort.
Re: Grand Campaign 1939-1945 (Custom Campaign)
If you bring into the game an alternative historical perspective regarding the Yak-3, then you need to bring into the game two completely different aircraft - the Yak-3 (I-30) of the 1941 model and the Yak-3 of the 1943 model. At the same time, the Yak-3 model of 1941 must be entered as a prototype, since it was not mass-produced. And the Yak-3 model of 1943 must be entered as a real serial aircraft.Garb wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 1:36 am I think that we need to accept that there have to be slightly fictional elements, in a mod that offers an alternative historical perspective. As for the combat qualities of the Yak-3 (I-30) aircraft of the 1941 model, it is approximately at the level of the Yak-1 or Bf-109e and cannot surpass all aircraft in 1941, both German and Soviet.

Re: Grand Campaign 1939-1945 (Custom Campaign)
There are a few display boxes, which have for some time, being completely emtpy (I pretty much only noticed them in 43). Example: When you kill 12 Artillery in the Kremenchug scenario, you will get a conformation box but it's empty.
There is also a minor bug at the Prokhorovka scenario, Whenever I capture a city I am getting a red printed error on the screen "nil index value". It does not prevent me from completing the scenario, just thought I mentioned it.
Is there any time frame when we can expect the next installement of this fantastic mod?

Need advice. I am debating between this Grand Campaign mod vs. Storm Over Europe mod to begin a play through. Any comments/insights as to which one to go with? TXS

GC goes through 1943 right now, so do that one if you want to see/use units from later in the war and/or get some heavy Barbarossa action
SoE is only through 1939 (early 1940 really), but the individual campaigns have a lot more missions, and it incorporates the Unit Toolbox mod, so if you want to play around with a bunch of new or revised units, you might want to pick it

Axis Oprations and PanzerCorps1 Grand Campaign are the only things I have installed. I went through the Slitherine website and don't have anything PC2 on steam. I assume I could get my steam key and check.
I deleted all my 1943 saves and replayed the year and got the same problem.
Additional thought? Thanks.

Hello, everyone.
I play this campaign again from the beginning after the last update.
On the Sedan card scenario, do I get a script error displayed in the last round?
If there is a text missing, it then goes on to the next map.
grettings
