But the Chronology Criticism folks were not there either.

And neither you nor I. But that's not the point.
Because the construction of the chronology is criticised.
The events themselves are then secondary at best.

It just means that if you study the Warhammer timeline or the one of the Roman empire for a background of your minis becomes a point of mood.

It's all philosophical gobble-dee-goop. No different than people that want to argue about whether right or wrong exists or whether we exist etc. It's gets to the point where nothing is real, nothing ever happened, there is no meaning, blah, blah, blah. I'd rather spend what little time I have on earth believing something rather than nothing and adjust my thinking as new information is discovered/updated.

Another book on the subject is about to be published, by Andrei Pogăciaș, John Hunyadi and the last crusade, A Transylvanian Warlord against the Crescent (here)

(I don't know anything about this book.)

Ironically, this is exactly the point.
The standard western chronology was developed with theological procedures.
That's all right, if you admit it honestly.

I tried looking it up yesterday (Chronology Criticism) but didn't find anything explaining it. But truthfully it doesn't interest me that much. It's a case of I'll continue to believe that Hitler offed himself in the bunker until someone can prove that he fled to Uruguay and lived out his days as a quiet baker with a bad mustache. In other words, I'll live with the historical consensus until it can be refuted beyond the shadow of a doubt. It's more of the fact that as I get older I have less time, energy, and patience to invest in mental masturbation side quests. LOL. It annoys the hell out of me. Yeah, I know..."Get off my historical lawn, you whipper snappers!"

BTW I didn't mean for my other post to come off as blunt as It sounded. So, I apologize if it seemed short, I was in a hurry when I posted it. If I could've spoken it you'd have heard more playfulness in my tone than aggression.

I'm not saying the one is correct or the other is wrong. Just that it's get's VERY complicated soon enough.
