I think we could return to the Joseon / Ming and their battles with the Japanese. I have in mind 2-3 skirmish games and 1-2 scenarios, including Chungju and Imjin River.

Make it 3 skirmish & 2 scenarios is my suggestion Alan.

Hey, is everyone alive and well? There's been very little response since Feb... while I'm completely silently being excited to join another one of these events and waiting for the call out.

No word on the event, but we're all still active in MP, so PM if you want a game

Alan has been busy on other Events and is away on holiday about now.

We have 3 at the moment :)

Since Alan's been busy here's an idea to keep sengoku jidai ticking over. If anyone is interested please register your name on this forum with your faction preference (Ming or Invader)

Hence, you've declared for Ming and allies Alan. You may challenge with any Ming or allies list post 1592, which does indeed include Joseon.

To add to the fray, I'll declare for the Invaders.

Please read on posted map Rule clarification :- See Note No.5

A pleasure.I'll allocate you to invaders

To recount so far

Ming = Ahuyton, KiwiWarlord
Invaders GDod, snugglebunnies

If you are new to Sengoku Jidai, or haven't picked it up for sometime you'll all welcome to join. Just register on this thread and note your preference for either Ming or Invader.

Please find below the allowable lists for each faction.
It goes without saying that all challenges should overlap time periods (Hence, you could not challenge Northern Rebels 1571-1593 with a Ming Northern Army 1597-1683)

Invaders
  • Qing Bannermen 1636-1700
  • Qing Green standard Army 1644-1700
  • Japanese Home Army 1591-1599, 1600-1603,1604 onwards
  • Northern Rebels 1571-1593, 1594-1596,1597-1683
  • Southern Rebels 1571-1593,1594-1596,1597-1598,1597-1683
  • Tribal Rebels 1595-1700
  • Jurchen Bannermen Before 1622, 1622-1628,1629-1635
Ming and Allies
  • Ming Northern Army 1560-1593, 1594-1596,1597-1683
  • Ming Southern Army 1571-1593, 1594-1596,1597-1683
  • Ming Joseon Expeditionary Force Before 1593, 1594-1596, 1597-1598
  • Joseon 1593-1594, 1595-1598, 1599-1600, 1601-1617, 1618-1700
  • Tribal Rebels 1595-1700
  • Eastern Mongols 1600-1634
  • Western Mongols 1635-1649, 1650-1700
Please note the following :-
  • I have excluded Woki Pirates 1540-1590, and the Western Mongols 1600-1634 and Eastern Mongols before 1600 from the Invaders lists to ensure each side has equal provinces.
  • We also need to decide whether we want a long campaign or short campaign. Please read the clarification on the map and state your preference.

I think I understand, it takes a bit more concentration than Alan's events, but I believe I know how it works. I am interested but have no particular preference for any faction so perhaps time someone joins with a preferred faction I could join the other faction to keep the numbers even.

A pleasure. To even the teams I'll put you down as an invader snuggles.
Gavin a suggestion re 'no preference' players.

Place them in a group until the final player for the campaign is registered then draw them out of your hat , first player out goes to the side with least Generals.

You're very welcome. Another invader. Again, the system means you can use any invader army list to challenge a Ming province or their allied province Don.
  • Ming KiwiWarlord, ahuyton, Th30n
  • Invaders GDod, gort7078
  • Unallocated Snugglebunnies, PeterThe Painter
One more player makes 8 and we're off...

I've recolored the Ming provinces Green and the Invaders Red to make the starting faction owner clearer.
