Japanese Home Army
You're very welcome. Another invader. Again, the system means you can use any invader army list to challenge a Ming province or their allied province Don.
  • Ming KiwiWarlord, ahuyton, Th30n
  • Invaders GDod, gort7078
  • Unallocated Snugglebunnies, PeterThe Painter
One more player makes 8 and we're off...
Ming are Merciless.gif
I've recolored the Ming provinces Green and the Invaders Red to make the starting faction owner clearer.
Ming in Crisis.jpg
Gavin, there are 7 green provinces and 9 red provinces, I presume there should be 8 of each. In an earlier post you had the Eastern Mongols as Allies of the Ming but their province is coloured red so that may be the reason. Or have I not understood.

CHANGES
Just seeing if you're awake Pete. Also, I included Qing and Qing Bannermen. So, I had to chose one or the other. They are similar. So, I've opted for Bannermen (unless anyone has an objection) Moreover, I've clarified the short and long term winning conditions to make them clearer.

We will now start challenges from Saturday 9am 25/6 GMT to give more players the opportunity join.

After the final player for the campaign is registered the first player drawn at random (either Snugglebunnies or PeterThePainter) goes to the side with least Generals.

Hi guys,
I would like to give this a go if you're still looking for another player... Looks like you've done a great job on this Gavin! :)
The only thing is, I'm on vacation untill 2nd July with limited internet access. Would that be to late for me to start?

Not a problem Paul, you can issue a challenge and catch up with your faction on your return.
  • We will first play the short campaign to see if the system works for everyone.
  • Then play a long campaign if everyone is keen...
I will also log individual wins for a province on the updated maps not only to keep you all update on provinces taken but to communicate players individual successes.

Aren't some of these armies from Mandate of Heaven, not Ming in Crisis?

I've checked snuggles but they are all Ming in Crisis. Do you have Mandate from Heaven? I can only think some lists are only available if you have this DLC maybe?

I did notice a Invader/Japanese invasion Force, which I could have included instead of a rebel province. (but I think the lists on each side are fairly well balanced as they are)

Guess I was mistaken. I thought that, in addition to Koxinga/Zheng + Tibetans, the late Western Mongols list which has infantry were Mandate of Heaven only.

Snuggles, in Ming in Crisis all Western Mongols as Ming allies have no infantry. The Western Mongols Invaders 1600-1634 list also has no infantry.

I'll play in the event. You can always count on me. I think the best balanced historical game that each side could play is Fourth Battle of Kwanjima. It's fun to play both sides of that one. Count me in.

If you are still looking for numbers I'll have a go. It's been literally years since I've played Sengoku Jidai so stick me in unallocated as I have no recollection what the army lists are like.

Snuggles

As the most accomplished player in the tournament could you randomly generate four of the players below to the Invaders team and two to the Ming team, and post the results on the forum today or tomorrow please?

https://wheelofnames.com/

Snugglebunnies, PeterThe Painter, Warrior230, smjohnso77, SpeedyCM, lascar

As soon as teams are finalised, players may lodge provincial challenges.
