Have you tried clicking the "Army Filter List" box to off?

It then works for me.
Ah wonderful, many thanks. Challenge duly set up, pwd 1234.

carpenkm (Ancient British) beat GDod (Slav) 59 - 34

The mass of slavic bog dwellers poured forward towards the poor British on a low hill. The Slav's were led by a Churchillian leader inspiring brave charges and multiple rallies. Even inspiring an uphill charge by a peasant mob who somehow got involved on the way to the turnip field. The Slavs pinned a brave British warband on a hill, but some how they survived even rallying back and beating the irregular foot attacking. The quality of the Roman allies was the difference. The peasants ran back to their turnips and the rest of the Slavs alternated between rallying and running away. Well played GDod with better luck this could have resulted in British prisoners digging turnips for the rest of their lives.

The Battle of Boggy McBogface results in yet another glorious slavic defeat. This time against marauding English soccer hooligans and Italian bullies who had their eye on our lush turnip growing fields. Clearly, Carpe diem carpenkm was their catch cry... and they did!

Carpenkm's Brits on Tour beat Doyley's barbarian Vikings 53 -18.
After a lot of "manoeuvring" the shield walls eventually met. Lots of cheap British medium football supporters distracted the Viking Huscarls and the British cav performed splendidly on what turned out to be the left flank (originally somewhere near the starting right flank). Plenty of luck, larger and curry later the Brits came out on top. I'll set up the home leg with later armies Doyley. Well played.

I've set up our return match in the medieval period. password is doyley

Weirdly it wouldnt let me have scots allies vs the Norwegians (only French). didnt realise the Scots were so fickle. Set up with no allies - didnt seem fair to drag the French all the way to Norway away from their cafes.

Cheers

While setting up the battle click the date and geographical buttons to off and you can choose any opponent for your English/Scots combo.

Pike & Shot Round 1 Result : Win to the East
KiwiWarlord's Ottomans 1494-1559 16%, Defeats Peter the Painter's Spanish 1494-1502 52%

All over in 10 moves, Ottomans performed well shooting & scooting, also making good use of a large Wood on the Flank of the Spanish.

As I said to Brian during the game I felt like a heavyweight boxer in the ring with a flyweight. Every time I took a swing at him I was confident he would go down if only I could make contact, but when the blow landed he was no longer there. One point my opponent graciously glossed over was that I had a 3,000 man advantage. Well played sir!

Can someone set up a copy of a FOGM game Polish 1350 + lith allies vs french for me to pick up. Setting up against Don, my poles are unable to deploy (FF) either during deployment or during 1st turn. I just need to confirm whether it's a bug or old age.

NB No need. I set the game up on single player and it wasn't a problem. It's a conundrum. I've restarted our game despite a wonderful hill defense. If it's a bug it will be a 'ger! My theory is that Don doesn't have the DLC for FOGM Storm of Arrows

My understanding is that only the host needs the DLC.

I've setup games in ancients where my opponent didn't have the DLC without issue, also I recall someone asking on the forum if they could participate in one of the Slitherine Tournaments without the DLC and I believe it was confirmed they could.

That was my understanding too Mark. The armies and troop types have been allowed but maybe not field fortifications. I'll see when Don picks up the reset.
In the meantime a little bit of good news for the East below from Brian...

FoG 2 Round 2 Result : Win to the East
KiwiWarlord's 9,600 Romans 424AD 3%, Defeats Mark Leslie's 6,000 Byzantines 43%
15 Turns

The Roman Legionaries & Auxilia kept most of the Byzantine Cavalry pinned whilst a combined force of Roman Infantry & Cavalry ripped apart the Byzantine Left Flank, thanks in some part to units fleeing off the battlefield then returning to be fled again.
A very friendly game between Mark & I with some humorous banter between moves.

Yet again, Brian adds to the East's tally (Me thinks the Byzantines didn't have their Western masters best interests at heart!) However, the East creeps closer to even the score. Yet, at 5-8, the east has a long way to go...
