[Multiplayer][Renaming Unit not working][new]

Newbie to the forum and game. So sorry if this is the wrong way to do this but i have not seen a thread that totally answered my question yet. I play multiplayer with my son. I would like to make customer names for my units so i know which units are doing what. I can change names, and they stay during my turn, but after my son's turn, all names default back to whatever the developer used. I'm playing the Russian Scenario. Is this a glitch or is there a way to make these units keep the name i give them. Thanks!
