do you get another opportunity to capture British planes? I know about the jet but don't you get the ME-262's anyway?

u get them later and don´t get hartmann in 43.

i remember getting to that last airfield west of London was a slog, played that scenario more than a few times my first go around because i just kept getting bogged down in the entrenched positions by the cities and the 2 spawn points just spitting out British planes and tanks every other turn.

fallschirmjäger can do the trick pretty nice. drop in and piss off the next turn. if u have a double attack and a double move hero u can drop in and get out in one turn.

damn, didnt even think of that. i had to kind of cheat and turn all of my infantry into pioneers and give them halftracks and slog up the map.

Careful, the british RAF is quite strong, so i usually wait some turns before i bring them in/up. And i dont recommend exploring the upside of the map with them, get the airfield and search a nice and safe close tile to entrench there
you can use a bait fallschirmjäger unit with 0 experience to lurk the fighters out
playing with 0 heros: prayers is the best advice hehe
playing with 1 hero i recommend prudent or camouflage
plaing with 2 heros prudent and readiness
playing with 3 heros prudent, readiness and unyielding
playing with 4 heros all of the above and no surrender or entrenchment cannot be ignored

u can just buy green units over and over until u get one down. they don´t have to survive to get the blueprint. it is magically warped to HQ once they land.
