Re: Oxford FOGR Sundays 2024
Dear all,
I have made a change to the running order so as to keep numbers up as much as possible at our 25mm events.
The War of the Grand alliance 25mm event will now take place on 8 December and the Wars in North America event will move to 13October.

Re: Oxford FOGR Sundays 2024
Hi Tom
Please put me down for the 14 April and 9 June;
I cannot make 8 Sept or 13 Oct (shame as I would have loved to get my Buccaneers on the table again!);
I am provisional for 8 Dec (would also need to borrow a suitable 25mm army - could field them all in 15mm!).
thanks
David (B)

Re: Oxford FOGR Sundays 2024
All,
A question has arisen around the lists allowed in round 2. It seems they would be the following:
Ottoman Empire = Early Ottoman Turks from Clash of Empires
Venice = Early Venetian Colonial from Clash of Empires
Spain = Early Imperial Spanish from Trade and Treachery
Italian States = from Trade & Treachery (list finishes at 1555)
The last is not ideal but OK I guess. Any comments or suggestions?

Re: Oxford FOGR Sundays 2024
Great day at Round 1 (see specific post for results).
We discussed the idea of moving to 700 points experimentally. It was agreed that we would do this for the 25mm games as the periods for these this year are not mounted heavy - so ECW in September and War of The Grand Alliance in December. The idea being somewhat to ease the army selection problems that can be experienced with the 650 limit. It will also make the format for our 25mm events the same as Campaign.

Re: Oxford FOGR Sundays 2024
Following our trial of 700 points for 25mm there was a general view that this was too many points for a 6x4 table. Relative base size compared to 15mm suggests 600 points. We had a brief discussion and various views were put forward in favour of 600 and 650.
I should like to call for a vote. My vote is for 600. What do others think - this would be for our December event - War of the Grand Alliance.
