The fierce and bloody battle ended very unexpectedly.
The Prussian attack was met with a lively counterattack by the Austrians, and even their commander, like Demetrius at Ipsos, threw himself into the fight.
And just as Demetrius forgot about his father, LinkinBrick forgot about securing the strategic point in an appropriate way, thus allowing the lucky Prussians to win.

We have successful defended Kolin from Ironclad's Prussians.

Our right wing cavalry put up a stubborn defense of the river for quite a while. We rushed troops into the Swedish works and managed to destroy the Prussians there. Our other troops raced towards the sound of gunfire and gradually repulsed and then overwhelmed his troops.

We used square several times at crucial moments, whereas he had not trained his troops to do so and our cavalry broke several crucial holes in his line.

That sounds like an interesting gambit.

Strengthening the Swedish Works is a gamble, you have to race to get them there before the Prussians arrive in strength. I sacrifice a couple of cavalry units to hold up the Prussian infantry, but because he didn't form square the cavalry broke holes rather than dieing.
This is one of the few battles where infantry can form square, It's what sets this period apart from the earlier battles P&S covers.

Prussians (PeterThePainter) 39% routed – Austrians (w_michael) 65% routed.

The Austrians still held both objectives at the end of the battle, although the Prussians were contesting the objective on Krzector Hill when the battle ended.

My opponent withdrew his right wing at the outset pulling his dragoons and some cavalry back to the woods to the right of Krzector Hill. He also abandoned the Swedish works. As a consequence a large number of Prussian units arrive at the foot of Krzector Hill and found themselves hemmed in between the woods on either side, with very little room to manoeuvre. Meanwhile the Austrians were slaughtering Prussian units approaching across the open ground between Chociemitz and Britstvi. Andre is right that knowing when to form a square is a key skill in this battle, not too early and definitely not too late!

The Prussians held Chociemitz and eventually were able to push forward from there to attack the Austrians streaming across the battlefield to protect Krzector Hill. A tense battle, with the Austrians ahead on rout % for a time and the Prussians only stretching their lead in the last few turns. The surviving Prussian infantry were running out of ammo at the end. Well played by my opponent.

We are just waiting for the result of the battle between Doyley50 and Ciberpencho and then we can move to round 4.

I've decided not to play Gravelotte as the 5th round, it wasn't really a Prussian battle, and it means we play each of the opposing team once to finish the tournament.

Apologies for the delay The game ended as an Austrian victory, 53-60.
A close had fought battle but a Prussian attempt to take the Swedish Works turned out to be something of a disaster.

So once again the Prussians win the majority of the battles, 3 out of 5. So the accumulated score is Prussians 10, Austrians 5
