Oxford FOGR Sundays 2025

All,

The proposed dates for 2025 are 9th March, 13th July, 12th October and 14th December.

Just four this year because of the need to fit around all the other shows.

Any comments/concerns around the dates?

Any thoughts on what we should do on these four days - I guess three 15mm events and one 25mm events?
My feeling is that if the 25mm gamers are keen we can check whether a sufficient number can make any of the other Sundays we have available at the club but from the list of other shows it was not clear to me that this would be easy.

Finally any thoughts on themes?

Noting the challenge this poses for 2025. I can only speak for myself & note below in bold with a 'Y' the events that I would not want to miss. Other dates in italics are less important to me personally & I would be happy to come to an additional OWS day.

Thanks, very helpful. I think we have also to rule out November as Warfare is a major show local to us. So, it looks like we could add a date in September or February.

Hi Everyone,

Re next year's dates;
9th March is fine for me.
13th July is fine for me but it is one week before Devizes so it may be a problem for some players. If we went one week earlier--6th July, Keith would be available.
12th October is definitely no good for me as it clashes with 2nd Partizan, as it did this year. One or two weeks earlier would be ok for me.
14th December is fine for me.

Thanks for input. A couple of things; firstly we cannot usually change the date in a giv3n month due to the Halls other commitments so I guess 14 July will probably have to remain. Secondly I got the October one wrong. It clashes with s3cond Partizan so instead I propose 14 September..

We could also add 9 February so as to have scope for two 25mm sessions.

Any further views on this?

Here are some theme ideas taken again from Bob’s list. We always have ECW and I guess that had best be 15mm for maximum take up. For me the war in India theme would probably be best to be in 15mm but the others I could do in either.

All happy? Anyone got different views. Anyone want to bid for a particular mapping of themes to dates?

14 Sept & 9 Feb both seem fine to me. I am also happy with the themes & could do 1, 4 or 5 in 25mm.

Just in case you decide that earlier in the year is viable for additional dates, note that Vapnartak in York has just been announced as Sun 2 Feb 2025. However, I do not think this would be a deal breaker for me, nor Dene. Dene am I correct?
