HELP!!! :)
Just purchased the new dlc (Frontlines-Cyrenaica & want to install it.
Do I need to go through a 1 gb download (should not have to since I have the SN) or go through the insane process of a 3 hour update for this (what is a few mbs, I am sure) dlc?
Tried to install, BUT...Please insert disk #3...what is that?

I play the game through Steam. I activate it to generate the Steam Key and then it automatically updates it when I launch the game in Steam. It takes me seconds, so I don't know what to tell you. I also have a fiber optics internet connection that connects by ethernet cable directly to my desktop so my download times are regularly over 900 mbps/second according to online speed tests.

That's why I long ago (with PC1 already) switched to playing the game via Steam.

Thank you & yes, I am aware of the Steam benefits per updating; still annoys me that Steam gets this 'perk' vs the, actual, company that sells & promotes it.
The fix (for me) was to download a 1.1 gb file which installs the new dlc in less then a second (!)...hhhmmm.

I Agree with you eddieballgame. I have steam on 1 pc and not the other. 3 hr. install vs. the steam client has always bugged me as well. On my non-steam pc I dl the latest patch and wait. The steam version I usually play while tne non steam version installs. This has been a bit confusing for me for as long as I can remember.

Yes; I know I am probably not going to see this, on going, issue get 'resolved' via my complaining.
And...I do appreciate the updates for this excellent game.
The explanation I have, politely, received in the past goes along the lines of...the Slitherine updates are a self-contained file of some sort. The way it has worked for me in the past; as long as I have all the 'SNs' when updating, I don't need to install each 'dlc' separately.
This problem occurred (I guess) due to me purchasing the latest 'dlc' after I had already updated the game. Thus, the lesson I learned is to, always, purchase the latest 'dlc' before the required update. :)
Anyways, at least I got it installed!

I was reluctant initially about Steam but boy was I wrong1 they auto update all patches which are necessary to install new DLC's. even if you don't want the DLC, you need the patch. you wake up and it tells you about the update plus when you launch to play, the version u r running is displayed. this is important so when you import into new Campaigns you know if you are playing the latest and greatest version like SOE or Oredone. on Steam the DLC installs rapidly. I purchased Cyro thru Steam. got a small discount even though the price for the amount of play is miniscule.

IIRC Steam updates your game the moment the patch came out, and purchasing new DLC just makes it put an activation there for your game, so you buy it, download it, and just play. It takes care of everything else.
