Slitherine

A friend of mine has problems entering Ancients MP and accessing this website, hence me writing.

He gets this error message: The server has been unable to validate your details.

He also can't connect to the Slitherine or Matrix Games websites, they just time out.

Medieval MP works fine though.

Tech support changed his password, but that didn't help.

He also completely deleted and reinstalled the game from scratch. Didn’t help.

Any advice? For example, could IP address be blocked?

I don't think so.

OK, thanks. I'll let him know that he needs to touch base with support again (he already did twice).

I'm seeing same message today on FOG ancients "unable to access, can't authenticate..."
saw this a few weeks back for a few days...assuming something is up with the server?

Seems to be working now.

nope...updated steam twice, rebooted my unit twice, reentered by pw, and still nothing. all other steam systems are fine.

just get the "authentication failed" message on MP access

And the problem of my friend doesn’t seem to have been resolved yet either unfortunately. Latest response from Slitherine Support as follows:

Unfortunately not yet. They fixed one more minor issue on the 31st, and now we are waiting for the IP issue to be fixed. But we also did a server change last week and have had another DDoS attack today, so the web team are stalled on fixing this issue due to the others. They are aware though so hopefully it will only be a few more days. I will keep chasing on this, and other IP issues we have, in the meantime.

Apologies for the ongoing issues.

Our provider made a significant error during the maintenance window and we are trying to put everything right. This is paired with the ongoing DDoS that we have somehow earned.

Hopefully things will be back up and robust soon.

Same here.

you could post somethng on steam...as it seems some players are still gettin turns through and others aren't. (i've recieved but cant send...still)
