Ageod with their fantastic gold version and now this!

I'm obsessed with WW1 history...so any game covering that War is great news to me.

I only hope it replicates WW1 combat...the mechanism in the Ageod title using combat doctrines works well to replicate the movement war and then trench warfare.

I'm not really into Grand Strategy games as a rule but as its WW1 and IF it does a good job of replicating the War and doesn't play like WW2 then I shall buy it.

One question....does each unit have a man count i.e do we get a casualty report after each battle?

I'm a stickler for this...mainly for immersion reasons....

I dont believe you will have actual #'s per men , its a little more abstract. Much like panzer general each unit , I think, will have a strenth rating up to 10, when it takes causalties it of course loses strength points

That is very good; I did remember when I bought Commander Europe at War a few years ago, I was suggesting a WW 1 game on the Commander engine, and some other wise guy said "WW1 games are suicide because of trench warfare it doesnt work" I hope this goof will see what is going on now. And I own AGEOD La Grande Guerre also, I guess I know what I am speaking of.

Anyways, good stuff will watch this one for sure!

AGEOD game is very deep and detailed, however it doesnt have the smooth gameplay of the Commander series, I guess both will complete each other for me
