Recon vs ambush

iirc in a previous build recon units couldnt have been ambushed.

no matter how far you moved, it always stopped upon spotting an enemy. why was this feature removed?

i liked it much, now my recons always get hammered by an ambush :(

Recons can still do their job and avoid ambushes, but like everyone else, they have to be careful about it now. No more blindly rushing into the fog, if you want to play it safe you move within your sight radius!

But as you can keep moving this means we force the player to click a hex at a time for no reason?

There's a penalty for recon movement. If you start with 8 movement and you move 3, you only have 4 moves left. If you move 1 more hex, you only have 2 moves left.
Each step of the phased movement costs 1 extra movement point.

In that example, that recon car has a movement speed of 8, but you see after the first move of 3, it has only 4 moves left, and after the second move of 3, it has none left.

Ok thats not at all clear. I gues the tutorial covers it? I never noticed that though.
