Final taste

After 2 months of spending every gaming hour playing the betas, I concluded in this odd:

In the beginning of the campaigns, there is a lot of interest as there is no XP, funds are limited, units are equal etc... As the campaign reaches the middle 41-43s, there is the greatest feeling for the player as the player has a descent force according to his strategy. At the latest war scenarios, in my opinion, the joy fades as swarms of tanks suround the player, especially on the eastern front scenarios. The view of 7-8 IS2s around a tiger or a bundle of 30 soviet units in an area of 30 hexes is something I didnt like at all. I would prefer a better AI rather than brute force of tens of tanks. What strategy can anyone develop when on Budapest for example, there is a wall of IS2s, ISUs152-100 etc? Infantry is useless, medium tanks are useless, every AT is useless except Elephants and jagTigers. The gamer has no choise but bying as many King Tigers as possible and... the magic fades.

To sum up, a better AI AND fewer AI units is a necessity. Second, some unit types must have better roles: Infantry for example is important at the beginning but in the later war it is almost useless.

Finally, as someone mentioned in a previous post and I agree, the first release is just the start..

Thank you for bringing PzC to us! :D

I dont mind the AI swarming the player - the issue is it should be with normal tanks such as T34's not JS'2s. I think it stops being fun when you are outnumbered by units stronger than you. Its more fun to kill lots of weaker units, having to avoid being attrited to death.

I feel your pain. Buy Stuka G's and JagPanther, anti-tank units. Both are cheap compared to the top tanks.
Seems the AI has expensive tastes, and really likes tanks.
