Probably if there was a real Battletech mod, I bet some guys would buy the game just for playing it.
But you needed to animate the mechs when moving, otherwise it won't work so good as a WW2 tank, IMO.
Good work.

I think that animations are just for combat.

I can not animate it, I stay for the simplicity of a wargame with a beautiful counter ^_^
but I'm open to all news.
...but in panzercorps, the units can be animated?
I have one other question. small scaled units (under aircraft) what percentage are reduced?

The attack have the animated explosions.
But we can animate, until a certain extent, PNG files:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/APNG
In that page save that ball bouncing. Put in the bigunits folder. Rename it as Wehrmacht inf. Enter in the game, and see the in the unit details, and you'll see the ball bouncing. I suppose that you can do the same with units. :D

Can you give us a screen or an video ?

Thats sounds good - but we need many different animations with 15 to 20 frames for standing, running (moving), fidget, fire and death moves for every unit. Without hard coding the enigine its not possible yet - I think so. Also in 8 or better 16 different directions !

You know I can't resist anything 'Mech related... *grumble grumble grumble*

Maybe we'll finally have a proper Front Mission Strategy game: Wanzer Corps.
That's pronounced 'Vanzer Core' BTW, not Waanzer Corpse.
