ATTENTION POINTED TOWARDS IAN McNIEL, Dear Ian I have purchased every camp form 39 to 45 east so far. I await the WEST44 camp with great anticipation! Fantastic work so far!!! My question(s) is this. I saw a wbsite offering a PANZER CORPS OSTERFRONT2 mod for PZc. What I saw was a fantastic looking version of PZc.Is this anyway connected to your design team? Or is this some rip-off hack?? Please help out and old, confused man. Do you plan to incorperate any of these MODS in future versions of PZc? Or Perhaps PZc2?

Hi HansDietrich that's a mod for Panzer Corps. There are no plans to incorporate any mod in Panzer Corps. That mod in particularly was created by DMP team and they are not a part of Panzer Corps development team. In order to play mods you need the original game.
You can take a look at our Scenario Design section and look for more mods. Please take a look at theses threads:

Hello Von Paulus and Ian McNeil, thankyou gentlemen for help with my previous questions.I have DL OSTFRRONT from your MODS thread and have installed it. It plays great and looks great also. Of course none of this would have been possible without PZc. A note to others who would like to try a MOD.

FOLLOW THE SIMPLE INSTALL NOTES>>>>> BE SURE TO SET OUR SCREEN RESOLUTION @ 1280X 768 or you might not be able to launch the game!!!! MOST of the mods require V.1.05 files (5) total from PZc. I hope this MOD holds me over till the release of WEST 44 CAMP.!! THANKS AGAIN!!! Hans.

The previous post indicates two problems I have:

1. I have Panzer Corps Wehrmacht, updated to v 1.10 or maybe it's 1.11, can't remember.
2. I can't get any of the DMP mods to work -- specifically, Ostfront and Winterkrieg. Both of these get through the briefing and victory requirements screens, then the screen goes black and eventually Windows reports that Panzer Corps has stopped working - and it closes.

Are these two facts related? Do the DMP mods/campaigns REQUIRE the old v 1.05 files of Panzer Corps, and if so how can I get them without regressing my current installation?

If not, anybody know why the DMP mods would both lock up that way? I believe I have followed the directory structures, etc., as required.

All help appreciated!

They need 1.05. But I think they intend to convert 1.1x.

Bloomer, you need V1.05 in order to play the DMP MODS. I tried the 1.10 and it failed. I have the 5 files needed from V 1.05 I can email them to you or just post them,if that is allowed???? I'm an old guy and can't see why the Moderaters would object to me doing so. But I will wait until SAT. PM EST. to see if this OK to do. OK?? HANS.

TIPS ON INSTALLING MODS
1) you need version 1.05 (If you puchased PZc. either the CD/DL version you already have the correct version. CD version is easier to copy and paste the 5 files into the MOD folder than the DL version. I purchased the DL version, so I reinstalled my ORIGINAL DL into a NEW FOLDER ... then copied and pasted the 5 files required into another folder. DON'T INSTALL the 5 files in the MOD folder until reading further!!!!!

2) Once you have DL the MOD you wish to play extract the files. ( I USE "WINRAR", some unpacking utilities don't extract all the files)
3)I was asked which folder would you like to extract the files to, In my case I was prompted to use C:\progam(X86) ....... I don't know if you will encounter the exact folder location( I have Vista).
4)Look in the extracted folder you will see this>>>>>>> panzer_corp_DMP_ostfront click on this and follow the prompts.
5)once step 4 is complete you can copy and paste the required 5 files from VERSION 1.05

6) HERE ARE THE NAMES OF THE REQUIRED 5 FILES FROM VERSION !.05 AS FOLLOWS
Panzer Corps.EXE PanzerCorps TXT Autorun.EXE Panzer_Launcher.EXE Scenario Editor.EXE (copy and paste them into I.E. Ostfront folder)

Once you have done all the above on your FIRST launch (I used Panzer_launcher.EXE to start the game, you will see a PanzerCorp BOX.. at this point I set my screen reolution at 1280X768 WHY????? because the first ime i did all the above I COULD NOT SEE THE "PROCEDE BUTTON" Yes I was baffled and about to just forget the entire effort. This occurs usaully after the briefing, SO IF DON't seeeeeeee the PROCEDE button after the briefing change the screen size!!!
I hope this info will help some people trying to expand the enjoyment value from playing this GREAT GAME.I hope also that I have not over stepped my bounds on this forum, My intent was to help others from my knowledge and NOT take away any of the hardwork and thought from the developers and programmers of this game. If this posting is not allowed I would hope the forum will remove it ASAP!! With best intentions HANS.

FINAL note on MODs.. This install of the MOD DID NOT have any negative reaction on MY origanal install of PZc.(remember the two are in different locatons on your PC) I forgot to mention that you can only launch the MOD game from the MOD folder. After the initial launch I used the PanzerCorps.EXE to start the game.However when saving the mod your playing will appear in your SAVED folder along with ALL your other saved games... so name your MOD saved game accordingly to save yourself further frustration.P.S. I hope you enjoy the bloody thing!!! HANS
