Online game ends ... And disappears!

Just finished my first online game ... Playing as the Soviets in Typhoon, the game ended when turn five ended during the German players turn. I received a Game Center alert saying "Allied Victory with 12 victory points!"

However, when I tapped the alert and was brought into the game I was greeted by a map completely devoid of all units.

I exited to the main menu and brought up the "Play" menu, but the "Choose" button under the "Online" section was dimmed and unselectable.

I received no credit for the win anywhere ... Not in ELO, not in my gamecenter win/loss record, no achievement for having won a Online game of Typhoon as the Soviets, nor even the achievement for just playing my first online game ... It is as if the game never happened.

The only indication that the game happened is in the Gamecenter app itself where it says the game is completed ... However when I click "view game" I just am brought into the main menu with no replay available.

So, I won my first online game, but it is gone into the great bit bucket in the sky. Consequently, I have nothing to send for you to debug, but thought I would let you know about it anyway in case perhaps others are seeing this as well.

Sounds like something we're tracking.

A few more details ...

Under Extras > Gameplay Statistics > Show it lists "29" under turns in the "vs Game Center Opponents" section, so the turns I took during the game have been tracked, but Win, Loss and Draw area all 0, and my rating is still 1500.

The Game Center App shows my opponent's name under "Complete Games", and his name shows under "Players" with a status of "Operation Typhoon. Allied Victory: 12 victory points", and below his name is my icon and "Me", with the status of "Won 5 hours ago"

My opponent's name was Matt Espinosa, game center ID of Swing80s ... I mention this because he said in chat that he was a play tester and also play testing your Gettysburg game, so I was thinking maybe you had a way to contact him to find out what happened with this game on his end.

Anyway, thanks for looking into it.

Yeah it was weird, I thought I should have won since he couldn't do much and passed so I passed afterwards, thinking the +1 VP I'd get would for the points I had at the end of the game would make me win the game. I coulda won if I continued to play and took another point but I didn't know they don't count VP after the last turn. So I was confused as well

I have won 4 online games by resignations but none of them show up in the online stats. I’m still waiting for a game to go the full distance to see if that shows up. When one of the opponents reigned it also froze the whole app and I had to reinstall. That problem has so far to reoccurred.

If you had obtained one more VP it would have been a draw.

But according to what I saw at the time, I knew I would win when I liberated one space around Moscow. There was no place else for you to take.

The VP totals displayed in the UI appear to be telling you what you'd have if the turn ended right then, so that's what the result would be if there are back to back passes. But I agree, it could be much more clear regarding at what point VPs are awarded.

The Victory tab of the rules takes you to 11.2, which describes the timing.

We experimented with scoring spaces like Tula at the end of the turn, but that felt even more confusing. What should the VP total show in that case?
