Landed on the Moon in 1969 Q3. Wow!

Made it to the Moon within one quarter of the actual historical landing.
It was in sandbox/GSA, but I did it.
I used Russian boosters except for Saturn V, the Gemini Direct Landing, and went from PSK to Gemini to Direct Landing. I skipped the missions with the Agena test docking vehicle, and boosted the Saturn V reliability by launching three missions in one season - Pegasus, Pegasus Extended and the Soviet lunar lander and soil sample return missions. I then sent the direct lander Gemini into first unmanned orbital test, and then one season with both unmanned lunar flyby and unmanned lunar orbit tests to get its reliability up.
I probably could have done it in Q2 if I'd done the unmanned orbital test and the unmanned flyby in the same season, and the unmanned lunar orbit test and the manned flyby in the next.
So it IS doable.
