I mean that Apocalypticon battle with 600.000(!) points and 50 players is true epic Warhammer 40k. Question to the devs: Will Armageddon ever deliver such unbelievable epic battles? Please. :D

That's not epic.

This is. Note the mini map and size of map. Just a mock up because I couldn't be bothered to play it enough to get a decent screen shot of battle.

Can't send the map, sorry. That is one which I'll be releasing when my combat overhaul, new units and point system overhaul mod is done. Majority of the balancing is done, which has been what has taken the most time. After that I'll work on the points system (so you are forced to use infantry and other cheap units and not just use only dreadnaughts and super heavy tanks in the campaign) and then painstaking task of updating each and every campaign scenario to work with the new balancing and points. Luckily the campaign scenarios are small. Still a fair amount of work to do, and had a couple of weeks break from it, but will get there eventually.

Glad there's some interest in big scenarios though, makes it worth releasing.

interesting, so you overhaul the point system? How do achieve a limit cap on titans or dreadnoughts for example? Is the editor capable of this?

That looks interesting. I'm not sure about the scale (how long would a turn on this map take?), but balance and point system overhaul sounds great.
Also, I see the infantry squad has "one grenade launcher", you managed to give squads single special weapons when everyone else still has lasguns or bolters? No more power swords for everyone in command squads? Sweet.

The new points values should be enough to limit better units, but for Imperial Titans there will be a hard cap. I will likely add a hard cap for other units too such as Imperial super heavy tanks, Land Raiders and Dreadnaughts (even an entire chapter won't have too many of those).

The battles can take a long while, they are something you can't finish in a couple of hours. Yes, the AI turns can take some time, but not nearly as long as it takes to run your own turns. I just browse or watch something on the other monitor while I wait, especially the first 5-10 turns when it's mostly movement you don't see.

Yes, I've added many new variations to squads with options from the official WH40k codices. Each and every unit has been recoded, including weapons and then each has been individually balanced, which was some tiring work and lots of spread sheets.

All infantry squads are their correct maximum sizes also, so size differences are large, such as 10 guard vs 30 orks. Marines are in combat squads rather than full squads to give more tactical options (and mainly because a single squad of 10 can't include all their weapon options), and armoured units are singular also. 10 guard or 5 marines in a unit might seem underpowered, but a lot of work has gone into balancing (months) with several revisions. Most of the balancing is behind the scenes and you can't figure much out from looking at a units weapon info in game.
