Hello,
here is the first picture of the mod I'm working on (I began to publish it on the Matrixgames site a few days ago) :

Not a fan of HoI 3 (too many provinces. Also my favourite nation (Japan) takes way too long to be able to do anything). - but this is a good idea anyway - I especially like it telling you how powerful the units are (ie 26 HA) on the screen. :D

The work progresses.I added an element to the graphics of the units.

Oh Oh! Sorry for seeing this so late, BUT instead of using 'XX' (Corps) in the units why not ' || ' two lines/Apostrophe for Battalion? ;)

Maybe even the company symbol or squad for units even smaller like a Fighter or Bomber team...

Anyway looks really really good.


Another thing, what do you think about animations? When they attack is a bit odd they show bullets and fire. I tried once to do a NATO mod and the first thing i made was to clean the animation files. Leave them blank (the dive bomber animation works as template because is already clear.) so they only make sounds of battle and explosions of damage. ???

XX is division - a reasonable guess for units in the game.

In the first one, I shall finish the graphics (so many units), then I shall take care of animations.
The first thing which I shall make then is to change offset to center the animations on the unit.
Next release will be the German Elite units.

All the German units were worked again (height +5) to see better the size of the unit (Division...):

mmm not sure i like the camo, the yellow border and SE letters are good but the camo should be optional
