Crash when starting BA

Hi all! I played BA until today without problem, but all of a sudden, I get two error messages when starting it: First, it's "tag is too long line 73 in <From Data> (0)".
Followed by "***Unhandled Exception! ExpCode: 0x80000003 ExpFlags: 0 ExpAddress: 0x00488450 Please report!"
I figure someone else got the same error message once, but related to a particular scenario:
viewtopic.php?f=103&t=63943
Any advice?

I assume you mean starting a specific battle? Can you give more details of when and how the error occurs. Also, please post the contents of the error.log found in My Documents/My Games/BBCBA
Cheers
Pip

Hi,
I just received similar error messages when starting BA. Not in a game but BA fails to start properly. It opens but fails to complete the check for updates (just sits) and when I try to continue it briefly shows the main game screen then crashes and shows the following 2 errors:
1) Data element of line is too long on line 90 in <From Data> (0)
2) BA: BA.exe - Fatal Application Exit
Unhandled Exception! Exp Code 0x80000003 Exp Flags: 0 Exp Address: 0x00488450 Please Report!

I'm on a Mac and also had a similar error code when trying to launch Battle Academy. I played a turn in a multi player game about 5 hours ago and then logged out and closed BA. When I tried to relaunch BA the following error code appeared:

Any ideas? I tried restarting and closing all other programs...part of the error report is attached below.

Hi,
I just found that I can get BA to run without error messages, but only if I disconnect from the internet. Not much help for online games but it seems the error may be related to the internet connection process.

All is well again for me again, both single-player and multi-player, no crashes or error messages.
Noticed issue starting last night (U.S.A.) EST June 2, and now fine 13:40 EST June 3.
On Mac OS X 10.11.5.
Thanks Slitherine!
