Greetings!
I was wondering if anyone managed to make a Panzer Corps fanfic revolving around the PC and his exploits over the course of the Grand Campaign. Assuming if I ever get to work on it, would anyone be interested?

Some of the AAR's are heading that way (I'm thinking of General Werner's ones in particular).
We're generally a positive forum here so you could just give it a go and see how it works.

There was the 'Diary of Herr Pferdmann' a couple of years ago, I think it is on page 3 of the AAR forum. That was extremely well received, so if you want to do something like that I am sure many would be supportive of it, myself included.

Agree with both replies so far.
I have great admiration and respect for the stories that people can create from this great game whether it be something from the mods,, or something from the game.
Big fan of it all right here.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the support!
What I also have in mind was events that took place behind the frontlines. The dialogue between the main character and his commanding officer in the briefings stuck with me. While it may not be an AAR per se, it's still within the Panzer Corps universe.
Therefore, if I ever get a chance to write some drafts, I'll be more than to share them with the forum.
Sincerely,

A "between scenarios" commentary could be interesting - eg how it turned out compared with the briefing etc as told by one of the participants.

Bingo! I also think there are ample opportunities to provide some backstory for the PC. And, if I find it beneficial to the story, allow the 'heroes' and their foes a chance to speak.
In essence, I can see the narrative being done like this:
Prussian Knights, a Panzer Corps fanfic
by Catholic Ryanite
Synopsis
It's the late 1980s, and the Berlin Wall has yet to crumble and signal the end of Communism in Europe. But at the same time, old Third Reich documents from the former East Germany were being declassified and disclosed to the public. An American [maybe British?] journalist, fresh out of college, lands a comfy job at a major television network. While researching material for a televised WW2 mini series called The Black Knight, he sifted through old documents at an East German archives room. That was when he came across the legend of someone called 'Der Schwarzer Ritter' (The Black Knight).
The legend spoke of a Wehrmacht officer, the son of an influential family of Prussian nobles and soldiers dating back to the Catholic Crusades, and his daring exploits during the Second World War. This officer, whenever he stepped foot on the battlefield, was the admiration of his peers and the bane of his adversaries. Yet the documents never spoke of his conduct during the War: whether he was a knight or a warmonger. There are even some historians with tenures at prestigious universities arguing that he was just an idealized cutout, conjured up by Josef Goebbels's propaganda machine.
Though the journalist never had a chance to meet the man personally, he became enthralled by the wartime legacy he left behind. Interested in learning the truth, he begins tracking next-of-kin and other soldiers who knew him. Will he ever uncover the man behind the legend?
Notes: told from two perspectives, PK follows a young reporter looking into claims for a purported 'knight' in the old Wehrmacht. The story, when it shifts perspective, follows Schwarzer Ritter (aka the 'Player'), beginning with his humble childhood in the chaos of the Weimar years. When the Third Reich is founded, his membership in the Hitlerjugend brings him future friends and a potential love interest. Before war breaks out, he joins the officer corps and earns the respect of Feldmarschall Habermann, a respected WWI veteran.
That's everything I've brainstormed up to this point. Any feedback on this would be duly appreciated.
Thanks,

I was riveted in the reading and intrigue.
Sounds like you got a winner and more than just a story for this forum but potential for a gripping novel.
Well done.

You really think so? Personally, I was planning to have this as a
Panzer Corps fanfic and not the basis for a historical fiction novel.
Still, I appreciate your feedback on my last post here, goose_2. It comes from having years of personal experience writing my works.
