Field of Glory II, the latest masterpiece in ancient wargaming from Byzantine Games, has already conquered the hearts and souls of many among you.

One of the most praised features is - undoubtedly – the possibility of creating user content and modding basically everything in the game, from creating epic historical battles not covered in the vanilla version, making your own skin for units, new maps and terrains, even campaigns!

The possibilities are endless, and community members have already created a bunch of scenarios, campaigns and mods. Downloading them is the easiest thing on Earth!

The game has its own built-in mods system that allows mods to be downloaded directly into the game, so the only thing you need is to click on the “Download Community Content” button in the upper left side of the Epic Battles or Campaigns screen.

Check out below the list of user content currently available! Get more information about the game from its official Product Page!

Field of Glory II is on Discord and Facebook too!

But the news is not over, as we are going to play the game on Twitchtoday at 4 pm CEST!

You should check the permissions on your My Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2 folder. Try deleting the CAMPAIGNS and MULTIPLAYER subfolders (assuming they are empty).

It could also be an issue with AV.

Cheers

Pip

I have modded the Romans - avaialble here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/pdgurus-fog-r ... /downloads

I want to add new units too but for the life of me I can't see how to do that. Is there an idiot guide for that somewhere?

Not currently, although we hope to add one when time permits. In the mean-time I have answered in another thread.

If maybe that Paul59 will cover it in his on-going series.

Great, thanks for the effort! To use this, do I create a "Mod" folder under the FoG2 and unpack it there?

PDGuru's mod is not yet in the recommended form, as it is designed to load into the main build. We STRONGLY recommend that you do not mod your main build.

We are working with him to help him produce a mod that does not alter the main build.

As I'm only interested in SP, is the community content available for single-player? Only a couple of them indicate SP / MP. thanks

I think all of them are SP unless indicated "SP / MP"

Correct. If you click the community downloads button in the epic battles or campaigns screen, you will see the list of scenarios/campaigns and this shows which ones are SP and which are MP.

Note that the ones that you have already downloaded disappear from the list.

Which one are you playing in? One has 7 day rounds, the others have 10 day rounds. Should not be a problem with the 10 day rounds, might be difficult to finish games in the 7 day ones.
