Junior Brand Manager Wargames

As an Junior Brand Manager at Slitherine, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of teams on a varied roster of internal and external hardcore wargame projects, helping to ensure their success and maintaining the quality that they have become known for. You will have the support of a large team of marketing professionals to mentor you and help you progress your career.

Slitherine specializes in strategy and wargames and also work with the defence industry to provide simulation and modelling software. The Junior Brand Manager is part of a team that is involved in the promotion and communication of internal and external projects.

The marketing team liaises with the producers and development teams to make sure materials are prepared timely, and campaigns are executed at their best. 

As a Junior Brand Manager your role is to:

  • Identify product positioning and the target audience
  • Develop the product roadmap in collaboration with the producers, media relations, social media and art departments
  • Build and continuously develop a product marketing plan, sustain the product lifecycle through a constant set of activities and report on results and future improvements
  • Be an evangelist for your brands
  • Help drive traffic, through promotional activities, cross-marketing activities, partnerships and more

 Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, product management
  • Possess good business judgement, strong written and oral English communication skills, and a practical common sense approach to getting things done
  • Delivers on deadlines and priorities as a self-directed individual, comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
  • Understanding of or and a strong interest in a wide range of hardcore wargames, especially computer wargames across all scales and periods.  
  • A decent grasp of military history and the principles that wargames try to model, especially with respect to the 19th and 20th centuries
  • A good fit within the studio environment, being friendly, approachable and with a professional work ethic.

Salary: Based on experience but around $20k-$30k. 

Location: Remote, though the option to work out of offices in Epsom UK and Milan Italy are available.
