GC39 Video AAR/Narrative

I finally figured out how to record videos, and have decided to upload a recent new GC39 campaign.

Game played with -75% prestige and customized equipment file. This is a very challenging setting, comparable to Manstein.

My intention with this video and future ones in this series is to provide insight into my thinking process when playing the game and to illustrate some advanced tactics. I hope the video is both informative and entertaining.

Wow, these things are very cool Thanks for taking the time. It's really nice to see how you think and reason as you move across the maps. I learned a lot!

Two minor suggestions: Turn down the volume on the game a little and can you upload in HD?

Heh, the volume on the game is literally 1 or 2 pixels above 0. I think I need to adjust the mic or speak louder, but it is an issue I'll try to address.

The videos are uploaded in "HD" which is half the screen resolution on my laptop. If you play the videos under HD on Youtube you should be able to make out the text reasonably clearly. I watched some of them myself and it seems okay. It does sometimes take Youtube several hours to render the HD setting though.

Thanks for posting the AARs Deducter. They are really helpful and giving a great insight into your strategy. I am greatly enjoying watching them. I have only a tiny bit of critique: you decided to omit the deployment and reinforcement phase from the videos. I would really like to see your decisions and strategy there as well.

Honestly the deployment phase is very boring. The videos are long enough as is, and will be getting much, much longer. If you want to see how I deploy my units you can already see it at the start of the scenario. I usually won't comment unless it's something very important or a defensive scenario.

I could perhaps start some videos at the end of the deployment phase and say a few words about anything important and show the units.

The reinforcement choices are usually regular in 1939, and mostly elite from 1940 on. A few select units will be overstrength.
