HELP!!!
I seem to have some interest in this thread so I am posing this question to hold myself accountable on this playthrough.
Well, I said I would only playthrough a scenario twice, but my first attempt at Sedan was immediately apparent it was a mistake, so I immediately abandoned and decided to try a 2nd attempt and I was pleased until I lost both an AT unit and a Pz3f unit. So...I did not stick to my word and started a 3rd attempt where I am doing really well because I am going in slightly over strengthened. Ok but I said I would only do 2 attempts so I feel like I am again being dishonest. So, I have dumped that first pathetic attempt and still have 2nd attempt where I lost 2 units or the 3rd dominate playthrough.
So do you want to see a strong playthrough or an honest playthrough?
Keep 2nd attempt where I lost 2 units so far or 3rd attempt where I am rolling the enemy?
Feedback would be very much appreciated.
I am about halfway through Sedan on both so I could go either way. (Both is not an option)
On with The Hague: Prestige after Replacements 12299
Bringing 1 recon, 4 tanks including Albert Kerscher, 4 arty's, 2 AA's, 2 AT's, 2 fighters, 2 tac bombers, 1 fighter bomber, 5 inf including SE inf with +1 attack hero and Oleh Dir.
This was my first playthrough as I was awarded something on my first day and so much else in the process of playing this one there was no way I was going to play this a second time.
Day 1
Took Schoonhoven. Pressuring Zoetermeer.
Retreating from Leiden and Ockenburg. (This is the key to kicking butt on this scenario)
Defend around Ypenburg.
Destroyed AT unit in Schoonhoven and other AT unit.
Awarded a +3 attack hero on my Pionier unit.
YAY!! So happy!! Never had a +3 hero and to get it on a Pionier unit makes it almost a walking tank.
Day 1 ai CA various attacks some of the biggest, bomber hit arty for -4, inf hit SE Pz3f -2 me -3 them, Hotchkiss hit recon -4 me -3 them, inf hit aux arty -5 me -2 them, AT hit aux paratrooper 6 left for both.
Day 2 Sunny
Took Zoetermeer pressuring Utrecht.
AA unit awarded a +1 range hero.
Another great hero only one that would be better is +1 movement hero.
Destroyed Matilda 1, bomber, 2 Hotchkiss, Fort next to Utrecht with bomber that lost -2, and 2 inf.
Bought 4 elite rep for recon to preserve prestige.
Day 2 ai CA AT attacked my AT -2 me -3 them
Day 3 Sunny
Pressuring Utrecht, South Rotterdam and North Rotterdam.
Bought 5 reg rep for aux artillery, 1 reg rep for aux Fallschimjager
Destroyed fort next to Dordrecht, AT, and 2 inf, and fort next to Rotterdam, arty, inf in Werden
Day 3 ai CA Renault and inf nit aux paratrooper -6 me -4 them, inf hit other aux paratrooper -2 me and -5 them.
Day 4 Sunny
Took other Southern Rotterdam, Woerden, pressuring Maarsen and Gouda.
SE Panzer 3f awarded +2 defense hero (It just keeps getting better and better.)
Day 4 ai CA Hotchkiss attacked aux Fallschimjager both -1, inf attacked AT unit in South Rotterdam objective 5 left -3 for them
Day 5 Sunny
Took Dordrecht, Gouda, Maarsten, and corresponding airfield
destroyed inf in Maarsten and Dordrecht, AA unit around Maarsten, fighter, and inf in Rotterdam and reg inf.
Bought 6 reg rep for aux Fallschimjager. (Backed out of Ypenburg to set up for reclaiming for an extra 100 prestige)
Day 5 ai CA Several attacks against various aux Fallschimjager with minimal effect and still have all aux units. Yay!
Day 6 Sunny
Took Utrecht and Ypenburg for a smooth 100 prestige.
Destroyed inf in Utrecht and Rotterdam, and in Ypenburg, bomber and reg inf.
Bought 3 reg rep for aux Fallschimjager, and 4 reg rep for SE inf.
Day 6 ai CA Again several minor skirmishes with aux Fallschimjager. (Still no losses)
Matilda 1 and inf attacked recon -4 me -7 total for them.
Day 7 Sunny
Took the rest of Rotterdam.
Destroyed 5 inf. and 1 inf in Rotterdam, arty and Matilda.
Bought 7 and 5 for 2 aux Fallschimjager
Panzer 4d earned a +3 attack hero
Are you kidding me not 1 but 2 attack +3 heroes. (This is so cool. I have never had one of these and now I have 2.)
Day 7 ai CA Same situation with aux Fallschimjager, but diminishing as my core units are coming up to relieve them. 2 battles that really stood out 2 inf attacked AT which now only has 2 strength left. I could have lost it and at this point would not have cared with all the goodies I have received on this one. Other one was R35 hitting my Pz3f which now leaves me with 5 left and they have 7.
Day 8 Sunny
Destroyed 2 Hotchkiss and 3 inf.
Bomber awarded Iron Cross 2nd class.
Bought 1 reg rep for Pz3f so it has 6 strength, 4 reg rep for aux Fallschimjager.
Day 8 ai CA WHAT!!! Bomber out of nowhere attacked my Pz3f for loss of 1 so it is back to 5. Inf also attacked Pz but just lost 3 for their attack. Fighter hit artillery for -2.
Day 9 Sunny
Took Maaslius and Ockenburg, started pressuring The Hague.
Destroyed arty, 2 inf,
Bought 1 reg rep again for Pz3f 6 strength
Day 9 and 10 ai CA nothing
Day 10 Cloudy
Pressuring Aalsmeer and took Southern tip of The Hague.
Destroyed both AT units in the Hague, fighter and bomber
Bought 2 more reg rep for Pz3f now up to 8 strength
Day 11 Sunny
Took Aalsmeer and both Southern tips of The Hague.
Destroyed 2 artys and inf in Aalsmeer
Day 11 ai CA AT unit attacked aux Fallschimjager -1 me -2 them
Day 12 Sunny
Control all of the Hague and pressuring Leiden.
Destroyed R35, AT and AA and Inf all in the Hague.
Day 12 ai CA AT and inf attacked aux Fallschimjager as well as all enemy destroyers my aux Fallschimjager has 2 strength left and no ammo. Inf in Leiden attacked aux Fallschimjager pressuring it with my unit losing 0 and the attacker losing -3
Day 13 Sunny
Pressuring Hootddorp and Amstelveen and Hellevoetsluis and Katwijk aan Zee.
(I am everywhere now)
Destroyed inf in Leiden took Lieden
Day 13 ai CA AT destroyed first and only aux paratrooper unit

Day 14 Sunny
Took Hellevoetsluis and Hootddorp
destroyed inf in Hellevoetsluis and Hoofddorp, arty and AA unit
Day 14 inf hit aux paratrooper -2 me -3 them

Took Amstelveen and airfield near it as well as Katwijk aan Zee.
Destroyed AT, inf in Amstelveen and AA unit
Day 15 and 16 ai CA nothing
Day 16 Sunny
Took Valkenburg because destroyed last inf and destroyed one Destroyer.
