Game Crashes

Hi, recently i came back to this game after a long time but apparently i cant get the game to work, the game used to crash after i started a game and created a new ship design, now it just crashes whenever i start a new game i checked the Fatal file and all it says is
Error opening file C:\Users\35192\Documents\My Games/Polaris Sector/DESIGNS/info.txt
i dont see the info.txt file at all inside the designs folder and the game doesnt create it.
EDIT:
Apparently the game also crashes when saving a game and the Fatal file says
Error opening file C:\Users\35192\Documents\My Games\Polaris Sector\SAVES\SAVE1\AllRoles.txt
