Re: Slitherine As a Whole Needs to Advertise More

I think Headquarters did well enough, but for sure could have done better since the roadmap for 2025 no longer has new campaigns. I'm not sure about sales, but based on Steamcharts (mind you, it is not that indicative, as many turn strategy fans buy games directly in the Slitherine store apparently...

Re: Panzer Corps 2: Elite - Ghost Division

I'm in agreement with the majority of Steam forum posts regarding feedback, and it's a pretty strong consensus over there, which I feel has been ignored for a while now. It's high time we've moved onto an Allied and Soviet GC, and/or a Japanese (though if Pacific failed, then I don't see the point i...

Re: Panzer Corps 3 - ideas, wishlist

Campaigns for the Allies and the Soviets.

I'm not sure I'd buy 3 though, because 2 feels unfinished for lacking these campaigns, in no small part due to time spent on Pacific IMHO.

And tbh, I'm bored of German campaigns at this point.

Re: Frontlines Cyrenaica: sinking San Giorgio ship

Thank you, at the end i destroyed the San Giorgio using the ships while land units weakened the defenders. The briefing is little misleading, when the officer uses the words "Naval blockade" i thought i should put my ships in hexes before the dock, triggering the self sinking. Finally, a ...

Re: Frontlines - Cyrenaica - Review

I need to defend the quality of Italian equipment this time, as there seems to be a common misconception about their armor and planes compared to Allied equivalents at this stage of the war. It is true that a lot of it was obsolete or inadequate, but it was the same on the British side at that poin...

Re: Frontlines - Cyrenaica - Review

I agree, it's a bit lacklustre. I agree with a lot of your complaints, the story is iffy, the game relies too much on 'oops you've failed' even when you haven't, which is a bit of a no-no. Also, the crutch of the AI having hero combinations to one-shot certain troops sometimes, makes the game 'gamey...

Quick questions: Mountain troops

Alpine movement = superior in mountains and hills. Does a transport negate alpine movement trait? (As it did in PzC1?) If so, is there a way to transport via half-track and then disband the half-track? I have found these units tend to be terrible for mobile warfare because it takes them ten years to...

Re: Thoughts on War Stories...

Kill Team is a complete noob trap trait IMO though. Heroes are dime a dozen as it is. Nah not really, on long campaigns you are right. Playing with a grown coreforce in 1942 it doenst really matters if you got 3 more heros or not In a short campaign, heros can be the gamechanger. Imagine getting Ze...

Re: Ideas for Panzer Corps 2

I would also like to see a Soviet campaign structured like AO. With many defensive missions, adapted gameplay, where at first the goal is to preserve units and endure. I would love to see a Soviet AO-style campaign starting in Spain and continuing through the end of the war. There's a lot of scope ...

Re: Thoughts on War Stories...

AA Veteran is an S tier trait, I never leave home without it.

0-10 killing planes is just too obscene not to, especially if you get anything like the 2cm flakfierling, or the 8.8.

Kill Team is a complete noob trap trait IMO though. Heroes are dime a dozen as it is.

Re: Thoughts on War Stories...

So, I've finished the campaign and I enjoyed it. However, it just feels like they didn't go far enough in the story and personal connection of the characters. It's just not enough. They advertised it as a story driven campaign but at most it's just tiny blurbs here and there with some objectives no...

Re: Thoughts on War Stories...

I'm now on Lwow and suddenly the surviving characters are 3 instead of 5. Even though the Nurse and Civilians didn't die last mission. What about you guys? They go MIA if you don't do their mission objectives ~ did you make sure you do them as they don't show up on the mission objective list unfort...

Re: Armoured Cars are Ridiculosis

I agree with the OP, it's also somewhat over the top that the late-war 234er line has better ground defense than a good number of tanks which were clearly better armored. That is probably a gameplay choice to make them less vulnerable late war, when the opposing stuff gets more hard-hitting too. Bu...

Re: Good news for War Stories DLC

It is good news! My understanding, though, is there is a fair bit of coding for stuff that never gets used. I'll believe it when I either see it or hear it from Slitherine :). After finished checking the lua file for the last scenario, I'm quite confident to say that those "Key Characters"...

Re: Thoughts on War Stories...

I'm enjoying it, but I miss the end of mission debrief's. I thought we'd be getting WAY more story and character stuff than AO. But it just feels a bit empty compared to our AO missions with our beloved Wehrmacht crew. Most of all I like playing as the allies and especially Poland. Who is , more of...

Re: Panzer Corps 2: War Stories - Fall of Poland | Announcement

They can fit as 'gift units', or even just heroes anyway.

Mind you, Allied Corps games tend to really neglect the availability of the ANZAC and Indian forces, which is a massive shame.

So all in all a very enjoyable campaign, I would very much like to see a Grand campaign from the Soviet point of view.
Same.

I would love to make one, but my modding and mapping and whatnot abilities are about as useful as a boomer on a smartphone thesedays.

Re: Why do you still stick with the OG Panzer Corps?

The infantry game is better in PZC unusually ~ I used to rage about how Infantry was awful, but I think PzC2 is a vast downgrade in terms of Infantry warfare/units. PZC2 is Pioneer spam (imo), whereas PzC I can find a use for the Heavy Infantry, the SMG guys (omg they were so annoying), and I had re...
