Re: Fire AP vs Fire HE
AP is Armour Piercing and HE is High Explosive. AP is for penetrating armoured units. HE is for soft targets like troops and trucks.

Re: 1.14 "huge update" ... I don't see any difference
You really need to spend some time at the Matrix forum. That's where we all hang out. Open System Settings before you start a scenario. On the bottom right select Board Game Style Map and from the drop down select Giant Size. Then start any of the ATB scenarios. They are the only ones done at this t...

Re: Pacific, Italy, Eastern Front in Battle Academy
If you didn't like the first one, you won't like the others. I took them off of dropbox. The game has changed a lot since the beginning. Someone else can take a shot at making stuff.LandMarine47 wrote:Wow there a lot of good campaigns here thanks! But the Pacific one is really buggy and short in terms of battles

I am on the team for Panzer Command. It plays a lot like the first CM games but orders are given by platoon rather than squad. There is a demo for it as well.

Wrong device for this game maybe but not a bad choice for other things. Keep watching these forums for news on games for your Android phone.

Re: Droid
Not currently. Mainly because of the size of phone screens. Pads/tablets are probably as small as Pip will go. I gather from reading posts at Battlefront's Combat Mission, android devices aren't all the same system and trying to get an app to run on all of them is a challenge.

Re: Are we technologically spoiled with online speed?
Every time I read one of those posts I remember downloading SPWAW the first time. Set it up just before bedtime and let it go. Hope it is done in the morning. When 8.0 came along, I downloaded it at work and burned it to a CD. Some people always have to have the latest, greatest, like high speed DSL...

Click on the lizard at the top of this screen. Click on login. Log in with your forum name and password. If you can see your name and links in the middle you are all set. I think.

I installed the 1.6 beta update and that is not yet approved for the lobby. Could be more players once that is settled.
It is a different game than anything I have played but once you figure out the flow it is really good.

Re: OK game but some tactical issues
Have any of you tried my Pacific campaigns? Some of them have leaders with rally ability based on distance and points. There are also mines and smoke and maybe some other concepts. I also recently purchased Conflict of Heroes PC version and find it a good game, but no leaders. There is a fan made ru...

Re: OK game but some tactical issues
After years of PC wargames, they all come down to checkers, chess, rock paper scissors, with some dice and cards thrown in. Real time adds some confusion and WEGO removes the tic tac toe feeling of IGOUGO.
