Re: EAP --> Full Game
Ah, therein lies the issue. I bought the Mac EAP. Well this is disappointing - I thought the plan was to have the PC and Mac versions available from day one. So not only did we not get a Mac EAP version (had to run this under Wineskin), we have to wait for the Mac release as well. I understand the P...

Re: Considering jumping back in
Thanks. I think I'll jump in then, I'd like some tactical, turn based war-game that's not set in the WWII period, as much as I like it. :) I will put you on the invitation list for Season 3 of the FOG Digital League. Recruitment will open around the second week in May. So get practicising! :D Great...

Re: Considering jumping back in
The forum is pretty lifeless and the game is probably the same as it was a couple of years ago, but there's enough people playing that you won't have any trouble finding a multiplayer opponent. There are only a few small niggly problems with the game, the one that comes up most often probably being...

Considering jumping back in
I glossed over a couple of the latest threads - some balance issues, declarations of intent to stop playing the game, balance complaints. Looks familiar compared to the situation two years ago, but what do I know. So my question is - is this a good time to come back to the game? How active is the co...

Battle Academy - Cold War/Modern?
I've been looking at some of the post-WWII wargaming options lately and while FPCRS is excellent I'd really like something less high-level. Any plans for a modern-day version of BA once you're done with BA2, guys?

Re: Initial Thoughts
I seem to recall somewhere that Slitherine mentioned that just because there is a building/bunker in a square, it may not take up the full square and the mortar can be firing from outside. That's just a really bad excuse. If Slitherine intends to stick with it then have the mortar team lose ALL cov...

Re: Initial Thoughts
Issue: In one skirmish game the Germans had a 120mm mortar inside a pillbox. I can see a mortar operating from a trench but not a pillbox. BA was made for mortars to be shot out of impossible places, most players even place them in houses and bunkers during battles Oh wow, I had no idea the engine ...

Re: Overblown UI elements (CURSOR!!!)
I understand that UI scaling is nontrivial. However, at least consider making the UI elements (the cursor in particular) smaller if you cannot make them scale. This was pretty jarring back in the days of BA1 and frequently broke the immersion for me - it's actually one of the few things I really pre...

Overblown UI elements (CURSOR!!!)
The game is looking good but my number one, big glaring issue is the HUGE MOUSE CURSOR followed by the equally LARGE UI ELEMENTS . Seriously, there is absolutely no reason why these have to take up so much space, especially the cursor. Please make it vastly smaller and make the UI elements scale wit...

Re: Ipad version
There's a bug in the 'SHOP' section. Whenever I download the game afresh and then restore my purchases, the 'purchase' buttons for the 'Give Me Everything', the entire DLC campaign bundle, Afrika Korps and Allied Corps turns to 'Play'. Individual DLC campaigns do not. I only purchased Afrika Korps a...

Mac Intel HD4000 - low quality water
Hi, I installed BA on my Macbook Air 13" 2012 - i7 2.0 GHz, 8 GB RAM, Intel HD4000 graphics - and noticed that water does not have that nice, reflective texture as on my 5 year old HP laptop that is running a comparatively vastly subpar Radeon 3650HD graphics. The water is now a simple, light-b...

Re: Question about Linux version
I cannot speak for Linux specifically, but I'm running the game on an Macbook Air with identical GPU. It runs perfectly in native resolution (1440x900) on High details, with Medium quality shadows. Since Intel GPU drivers in Linux are usually quite solid I would expect a similar experience under Lin...

BLOODY AMAZING GAME
Title says it all. A big thank you to the devs, and to Matrix/Slitherine for signing them up.
And for any Mac users out there - runs in native resolution with High settings, Medium shadow quality on Macbook Air 13" 2012, 8 GB RAM.

Re: Pandora: First Contact has officially been released! :D
I would welcome a solution to this problem - right now I'm on OS X but in two years' time I might be on Linux, who knows. Interestingly, Battle Academy as well as scores of other indies offer a very comfortable solution - make the client available to download but require a license key (as you alread...

Re: Status Report - Getting To Release
Now that the game has hit gold master, do you guys have an idea of how well it runs on Macs? I have a 2012 13" Air - 2.0 GHz i7, 8 GB ram, Intel HD4000 - and am curious if I can run this well at native resolution (1440x900) at medium-high settings.

System requirements approximation
Hello, I got quite a bit of play time out of BA and as someone with a new-found interest in eastern front got naturally interested in the upcoming sequel. I game on a fairly dated piece of HW (4 yrs old) - 2.5 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, ATI 3650 256 MB - and BA runs extremely fluid on that machine. D...
