Right click on deployed units, or
Select unit in 'Unit List' or 'Reserve List' window and command click on it, 'Unit Details' will come up.
I have a Mac keyboard, window keyboard may work slightly different.
Doing an ALT-click on the unit in the unit list works.

Thanks.

Re: Grand Campaign East 39-45 Manstein level

If an enemy air unit is over an empty hex, you cannot shoot it with your AA without actually moving the AA unit into that hex, as far as I can tell (there may be a way of doing it but I have not found it). Have you tried to select the AA and then press the Tab key to toggle between ground and air u...

Re: Grand Campaign 1943-45 Field Marshall

Well, this is the end of a long campaign. I won a DV at every scenario, and finished with 39432 prestige points. In the end I had 137 heroes. 28 of my 72 units maxed out at 5 stars and three heroes. On the downside I did not get a third hero for any of my artillery units, even though I had 9 of them...

Re: Grand Campaign East 39-45 Manstein level

I would be happy if I could just see the kill count for each of my units during the deployment phase. Exactly, this is another thing, kill count and experience during deployment... plus the heroes somehow simple in the unit name... :| Here is another thing. If an enemy air unit is over an empty hex...

Re: Grand Campaign 1943-45 Field Marshall

I actually managed to get an extra +1 Defence hero for one of my Flak units.

Another one just got its 5th star.

Not that it really matters, as it's the end of the capmaign

Re: Grand Campaign 1943-45 Field Marshall

At the Epilogue with 39440 prestige points.

I am going to upgrade/downgrade three of my AA units to 8.8cm Flak, just for fun. I can switch them to AT when they need to capture flags.

Re: Grand Campaign 1943-45 Field Marshall

The end at the Redux. I used my Pioniere unit to take out Chuikov and my JagdPanther and Uber Rudel tac bomber to take out Zhukov. The Soviet Flak unit got a free shot at my bombers and there were a couple of assaults on the JagdPanther but it was all over by then. I could have done things better in...

Re: Grand Campaign 1943-45 Field Marshall

Turn 2 at Berlin Redux. Here is the task force I sent to take out the Soviet commanders. Rokossovski is to the South. The plan is to destroy him and not waste precious time taking the airfield and town. I brought bridge engineers so that I can get across the river without having to go all the way ar...

Re: GC Barbarossa to Berlin (blind)

A few things about where we are starting from. All opposition has been crushed, DV's in every scenario of 39, 40 and 41 (so far). Minsk was total annihilation of the enemy - all flags captured and all Russian units destroyed. I only have around 9000 prestige but have about 70 units plus the 4 SE po...

Re: Grand Campaign 1943-45 Field Marshall

On to the Redux with 60914 prestige points. My core did not take a huge beating at Berlin, so I should have way more prestige than I can reasonably spend here. I won this scenario in 10 turns at Colonel on my first attempt at the Grand Campaign, but lost a core AA unit on Turn 9. This time I have a ...

Re: Grand Campaign 1943-45 Field Marshall

The end at Berlin. This is not a fun scenario. There is a huge time commitment, and I always seem to find myself agonizing over every unit move for the first 10 turns or so, because one mistake and you will lose a valuable core unit or (worse) leave a gaping hole for the Soviets to drive through. I ...

Re: Grand Campaign 1943-45 Field Marshall

Berlin Turn 26.

Garbage time.

The two IS-2s you see are the last Soviet units. And the AI was kind enough to leave them in city hexes where they will be easy meat for my two 14-strength Pioniere units.

Re: Grand Campaign 1943-45 Field Marshall

Second Soviet wave always seems to hit around Turn 16.

There's a lot more heavy armour, but much fewer units than in the first wave, so it's all very manageable.

Turn 13 at Berlin. The first Soviet wave has been destroyed except for a couple of units. I now have a couple of turns to ammo up, purchase some replacements and move units around as needed. You can also see in this screenshot some of the aux units that I have rescued and upgraded. http://tractatus....

Re: Grand Campaign 1943-45 Field Marshall

Turn 7 at Berlin. You can see on the bottom left that I have completed my planned fighting withdrawal, and I rescued the 12.8cm Flak unit too. There are three Soviet units on the bottom right that have broken through my perimeter, but I now have more than enough units to wipe them out in a couple of...

Re: Grand Campaign 1943-45 Field Marshall

Deployment at Berlin. No point in worrying about prestige for the two Berlin Battles. I spent about 30000 on upgrades and overstrengths for Berlin and should have about 60000 left for the Redux. The plan here is to do a fighting withdrawal in the Southwest, and maintain a small force on the Southeas...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #9

As I said, I agree with you that the UK probably wouldn't have liberated Europe. Nor would they have needed to to win the war. They could just take Africa, the overseas French colonies, and lay siege to Europe. Hitler would then find himself unable to offer the promised quality of life to Germans, ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #9

Thats not how i remember it. Manstein advised they withdraw to better positions while mounting strong counter attacks that would exact heavy tolls on soviet man and tanks, but Hitler (for political reasons) and because Hitler hated retreat under any circumstances, pushed for an offensive that would...

that was the advisement of the high command and nearly all of his generals that he should take a defensive stance in 1943, but he was blind to the dangers that this attack imposed and to make it worse, the date of the attack had to be postponed 3 times, which gave the russians time for their defens...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #9

Which brings us to the Big Question that historians and wargamers have been asking ever since, namely if Hitler hadn't diverted forces away from the push on Moscow in '41 in order to send them south to encircle Kiev, would Germany have been able to take Moscow in 1941 and would the Russians have th...
