OK got it now. I had run out of space on D.(my 1 tera ) steam was on my D drive and it had changed the directory path to C (my SSD) I found steamapps in Program files(X86) and under common it listed some of my Steam games. Tweaks.txt under autodocs looks like fun. I assume 0 means yes and 1 = no. Do these variables affect the game as one is 1024 x a 768 resolution which is NOT what I am running. I guess I am looking for the line of code that Pike and Shot has which lets me set higher/lower zooms and angle of view. :id...

Well I can't find any folder that says Data. My Steam application is in C:\Users\Documents\My Games/santus under which they are dir's for
autodocs campains multiplayer saves and screens with user.txt and options.txt.

can large dust trails impede LOS ? Horses certainly stirred up the dust.
Cannon fire and salvos produced alot of smoke. Sometimes obscuring vision at unfortunate times, would this be a major deal to set this up?

not sure. I can't find alpha channels in paint.net, can't load an image with blender and dazzled with gimp. Gimp seems like it would work but I can not figure it out. Arrrg...............

does anyone know how to change the portrait graphic to transparent. I did one already but it just threw up black or grey images where the portraits were. I find BA2 on iPad much easier to handle using a stylus. Far less chance of moving a unit without meaning to, or in the wrong direction, or when (hopefully) tapping a part of the map intending to deselect it only for it to head off in that direction I am on my 5th stylus. NP at all! I am thrilled about the changes made already. God, I wish an Ipad could use a mouse. For exacting detail there is nothing better! (starting a Windows-Mac fanwar here!)
