yes the artillery does splash damage. I whiped a out a stack of 3 xenomorph drones (bugs ) which were located in a hive with one hit.

after several hours of play, I can answer this myself. Yes there will be weapons to add to your vehicles which do long-range splash damage. So these stacking is worked against. Thank you very much.
