Re: Website Downtime
Yikes. Guess everyone has no choice but to switch to playing Order of Battle because it's working perfectly
Know that I am eager to welcome new victims, I mean players, I mean victims...

Re: What DLC should I go for?
In my opinion 99 percent of the game is the multiplayer experience, because of all the great player made maps. Since you need any one dlc to access that, it really doesn't make a difference which one... That said you know what you like best so have fun :) I vaguely remember buying Panzer Corps back ...

Re: Erik's campaigns, mods and multiplayer scenarios
I like the looks of that new scenario myself :) And wanting to keep naval aspects to a minimum in Seelowe is absolutely fair, I get that. Let me think... How about this then? Move the British fleet farther south. Starting around turn six or so, have a few batches of colonial infantry reinforcements ...

Re: Erik's campaigns, mods and multiplayer scenarios
Sounds fun and I look forwards to trying them, thanks! While I appreciate you having a Canadian presence in Seelowe, it seems to me it's too small. There are two ways to approach it, game balance and plausibility. Game balance is pretty self-evident from testing, although to account for differences ...

Re: Website Downtime
Ticket or not, multiplayer for Order of Battle is still down. Sadness. Rather than asking who else has the problem, I'll ask if there's anybody out there who doesn't have it?

Yeah this started the 23rd I think, so a good three or four days before the official start of things being taken offline.

Re: Are the servers down? 25th March 2025
Maybe they got started with the maintenance a bit ahead of schedule, so it'll also finish ahead of schedule? In the interim I suppose I could always mess around with some other games.

Re: MP matches stucked
In my experience that issue is rare but it can and does happen. I had it occur in at least one match. Don't know what causes it, all I could do was wait for it to time out and lose, exactly as you describe.

Re: Erik's campaigns, mods and multiplayer scenarios
Don't worry about the language issues, getting all the folders and names and compression etcetera correct is a challenge for everyone at the start :) It soon becomes easy though! Hearing about text issues sounds familiar. I know in multiplayer scenarios, which are really the only thing I have experi...

Re: The Russian Campaign Multiplayer Questions
The weather does change over the course of the map, but it doesn't actually have any influence or effect. Purely cosmetic / flavour. Since the question was posed eight months ago I'm guessing it's no longer an issue though, heh. Otherwise I'd see if I couldn't nag someone into trying their luck agai...

Re: efficiency not recovered?
Yeah I'm not familar with adjacent enemy units stopping efficiency recovery. Hmm. I don't suppose the unit has the "unreliable" trait by any chance? Although even if it did possess that (I'm mostly asking because you said it was a tank) I believe it should still recover when it does nothin...

Re: A DLC about a fictional Axis invasion of the USA
I seem to remember someone making a North America map but it wasn't multiplayer sadly. The kind of thing that's crying out to be made. Ideally it would be on the scale of Parreigo's "The Russian Campaign", and in a perfect world I'd love it to be heavily counterfactual. To my mind the best...

Re: Looking for PBEM plays
I'd rate it as medium sized but yeah the bulk of the fighting is in the middle, maybe 60 percent there, 15 percent northwest, 15 percent southeast and the rest "elsewhere". And the number of units start dropping pretty quickly, heh. I should warn you that in typical fashion for these thing...

Excellent! You can find it here...

Let me know when it's set up and I'll be happy to play as Russia. Now I just have to try and remember how to actually play, heh.

Re: Looking for PBEM plays
If you play as the Germans in Parriego's Prokhorovska scenario it's all core units of your choice. You start with something like 2000 requisition points and spend it as you see fit, getting a small amount each turn to use for repairs and, if you're cautious, even replacing a unit or two. Glad to hea...

Re: Looking for PBEM plays
I tried Panzer Corp before Order of Battle and wasn't impressed. That one was absurdly reliant on random number generation, with maps so small things like tactics never really came into play. The single player campaign was essentially impossible as near as I could determine, at least if you wanted t...

Re: Looking for PBEM plays
If someone reached out to me with a good map I'd probably say yes. But I feel like the community is really shrinking, which is only fair as no game stays prominent forever. One of the better things about Order of Battle is how I can turn off the sound and listen to my favourite radio programs withou...

Ah sorry, my bad
I should have included a link or something but the important thing is you found him (despite my poor spelling).
