Re: Erik's campaigns & mods
Semper Fidelis 1941-42, Gavutu/Tanambogo scenario. Nothing happens when i push the end turn button at start of battle. The end turn button just disappears, and the computer does nothing. Just a heads up

Totally agree, night turns, and the ship damage especially. Loved Pacific General, still have the box on my retro shelves, plus all the other 5 star series:)

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods
Greetings Erik, longtime fan here basically only playing your campaigns :D Have some trouble with the Micromod, wanted to try out the US naval campaign. Coral Sea scenario, first turn for the AI allies and it just gets stuck on thinking. The Micromod says version 4.2 ingame, but your download is ver...

Re: Erik's Campaigns
Erik, as the one person who's scenarios and campaigns i really enjoy, i have a small (cough. cough  ) request (suggestion). Now with a bit of reworking being done to naval combat in Kriegsmarine, could you pretty please consider making a US naval campaign for the Pacific? It is what brought...

Re: Philippines Campaign 1941
Erik, give us a full Pacific war campaign, you know you want to
Loved your Betio island scenario, this is how i wish the entire game was like. Will give this Philippine campaign a go though, even if i prefer playing as the Yanks

Make it happen
If you guys plan to take OoB further and further into WW2, there should be a unit database. Involving the players would be a great idea, i could certainly contribute if needed.

Re: What was the battle in which the Marines were most valor
Well, many famous and valorous battles in that list. But there can be only one and that would have to be Iwo Jima, every battle obviously had its own flavor of terror but Iwo Jima must have been one special kind of hell.

Re: Order of Battle: Morning Sun
New content is obviously nice and all, i am however not really interested in the Chinese front. Hopefully the other stuff they are working on is the Japanese vs British Commonwealth in Burma, India ,Malaya etc.. Also, what i want the most, a US campaign that is the REAL deal, Mcarthur AND Nimitz's d...

Nice one guys, the more the merrier. Have written before about a lack of units, so good to hear you are doing this
(i really want a lot of the prewar units, they pulled a lot of the weight during the war)

Re: Fantastic game - here's my first impressions
I prefer doing the shore landings too. Leave the Japanese in fortified posititions along the beach and have the Japanese do the first turn. That way the defending player may opt to defend on the beaches or withdraw inland. On turn-2 the Japanese player may build MG nests and bunkers if there are en...

Re: Fantastic game - here's my first impressions
i think the Okinawa scenario should have begun with the assault landings, instead of when we are already ashore, i like to manage the landing phase myself 8) Okinawa was IIRC one of those cases where the initial landings went rather smooth and nearly without opposition. From what I've read the main...

Re: Fantastic game - here's my first impressions
Agree with Rezaf about most of this, though i do like the naval combat alot  The game has many merits but i have a few pointers i would like to add. SCENARIOS, or lack thereof :( When i bought the game and started playing i went for the allied campaign straight away. Tried a quick tutorial ...

Re: Being Unable to Deploy Aircraft At Guadalcanal?
Obvious question, did you actually have any planes to deploy? If you did, it might be because you didnt have the aircraft icon toggled on the deploy screen. There is a toggle for ground/sea/air units, go ingame and check that. Otherwise, i have ni idea whats up

Re: New ability for Engineers ?
Had this same idea actually, how about it taking a few turns to finish the airstrip and costing quite a bit of RP. Maybe at first it is only a basic dirtstrip handling only 1 unit at a time, and then you can expand it if you wish?

Re: Does anybody else think the field medic special is worth
Maybe let us choose the Higgins specialisation a bit later instead of so early while we are still struggling on the defensive. Myself i chose the Field Medic trait because i thought i might get to pick the Higgins one at a later time...
