your hints gave me the solution. I replaced the standard-equipment-files with the modified one and the fighter planes are now available. I wonder why because the missing unit has the same ID in both files but however. Now it works.

Yes, I think your Real Sound Mod Redux will have no effect on achievements . But the MOD I mentioned above adds and changes the awards so I wonder if the achievements "get the highest german/italian/british/american award" still will work.

Maybe a dumb question but is it possible to use MODs in the Steam-version?
For instance I use the Historical Medals and Awards 33-45-MOD from Jelinobas which adds new medals and changes the requirement to receive a medal. Will Steam achievments still work if I install MODs?

I was able to download and install this version and afterwards to load a savegame from DLC 39 without any problems. Congratulations, a long way to this version.
