Re: [Translations] German language

Hi Nacho! Additional life sign from me, too. I'm on go for translating. :) How do you plan to organize the translations? So is there a manager per language or just all translations to you? Is a web-based localization tool or do we get access to a selfmade/bought translation software or just all per ...

Re: What will be after Road to the Moon?

but would a space elevator be practical? with everything thats already in orbit not to mention gravitational forces and any geological forces on the earth a space elevator maybe a work of sci-fi for now at l;east It would be practical. Because it's cheaper to lift cargo into space with it. As far a...

Re: What will be after Road to the Moon?

@Sabratha: Nice link. Was very interesting to read. The article reminds me on names like Tsiolkovsky and Korolev. I wonder what if those two men worked together with von Braun in one space agency. The prodigy Tsiolkovsky, who thought first to use rockets to get into space and calculated all the need...

Re: Question about Mission failures

@Nacho: Will it be possible to create mission reports in the future?
So I can see why a rocket exploded in the ascend stage or separation maneuver failed?
If the mission was a success, something my engineers learned about the mission to make the system more profitable?

Re: What will be after Road to the Moon?

@N_Molson: One of the main reasons, for abandon manned Moon/Mars exploration missions, were that Apollo reached the Kennedy's goal: "Reach the moon before the decade (the 1960's) end's" An other was the low public interest after Apollo 11 (except Apollo 13, after the exploding tank), the NASA just c...

Re: What will be after Road to the Moon?

Yes and no. Yes, because indeed the monetary cost is divided amongst more players. No, because exactly this limited space spending is caused by the cooperation and its underlying political reality. There's no cold war now - no political will to engage the kind of money used in space exploration the...

Re: What will be after Road to the Moon?

IMHO you really should split up between shuttles and stations. The shuttles are important for building the stations, but because of the logistics, space stations have their own complexity (actual: Progress, ATV) and the maintenance of the Shuttles are extreme. And the programs are expensive... ISS i...

Re: [REALISM] Moon with atmosphere ??

@N_Molson: Before you start another picture attack, please reread my post above and make yourself clear, that the last sentence was sarcastic, because the Earth's atmosphere isn't to see at the picture. I could also stat that the earth has just one hemisphere, because of the termination, the other h...

Re: [REALISM] Moon with atmosphere ??

After the latest researches there is some kind of atmosphere at the moon. In south polar region there was a measurement of a hydrogen "mist" above some craters. Very few atoms over some cubic-meters. SO something I wouldn't real call an atmosphere. ;) For sure, as like for Mercury, there's som...

Re: [BUG] Error in display animation

Got that issue too after the 0.76 patch. Seems to be an issue with the resumption of missions in progress and the reload of the savefile. Maybe a value isn't saved probably or at the false place in file. That bug doesn't seems to be just in those or that mission. I could reproduce it with sputnik, x...

Re: [Translations] German language

Hi! I hope, you reach that point soon, because I started with some small files today. Just for my own testing: Is there some kind of config file, to alter language? I'm thinking of: lang = "EN", to change it simply to "DE" for German? It also would be nice, if someone who is interested in space expl...
