Re: FOG at PAW Plymouth 1st/2nd February 2020.

Another good weekend, even if seemed there was a Roman lurking around every corner, presumably as a Terry Jones tribute.

Re: Britcon 2019 - Proposed Theme & Timetable

Definitely needs to stay at 6 games.
Only quibble is that the "shopping frenzy" should be on saturday, not sunday. Lots of traders are packing up by 1pm, and the rest of us are kicking our heels and thinking this is half an hour i could be beating traffic...

Re: Handicap system for comps...

Not sure about the handicap idea as such, if you look at the rankings then there are a number of very good players outside the top 20 (however did Chris think of 20 as the cut off, I wonder...) - who typically play only at Britcon, or in 2 or 3 local tournaments..... As a secondary point it didn't a...

Re: Britcon 2019 - What would you like to do?

Points inflation aside, it sees clear that the ic is a problem, simply because if 80% have ics then they arent exceptional. The question then is how to reduce the number of ics? Specifying who can be is probably a non starter, desire possibly being the most realistic. That leaves making them more ex...

Re: BHGS (& International) Challenge June 2/3 2018

Certain old lists contain troops who are listed as heavy weapon but from description are clearly Polearm(some are described as such). Examples include French ordinance polearms men, numerous billmen, halberdiers and naginata. Must these all be fielded as hvy wpn or is it permissible to use them as p...

It dates from a couple of years ago when I was endeavouring to avoid being drawn against Paul w. If it makes it easier you can reclassify us as a separate group.

Seriously, we know that Andy now does lists for around half? UK comps, so if he needs 3 weeks, that's fine.

Re: godendag 2018

from warfare, the lack of info is the main issue/ Well Plymouth sent 2 teams last year, then there's oxford and Wessex, Reigate would be another 5 teams, if we can get to 8 then it'd be viable. theme wise, my proposal includes successors, greeks, and others unlike Phil's Roman-fest. Could go open if...
