Thureophoroi/Thorakita and Judea
I have always been bothered that there is a list called Later Jewish without an Early Jewish. I think if there is a change coming to the All MF/All HF troop types above that the Guerilla Army of the Maccabees be separated out (maybe as a special campaign or separate list) to deal with their limited ...

Historicon 2011
In consultation with the Tournament Director for FOG-AM, FOGR will have a three round Open on Friday July 8th. The times have not been finalized, but we have 800 points 15mm. Players may also use 650 points of 25mm and players may switch scales if agreeable with their opponents. If there are enough ...

Historicon FoGR
How many people will commit to play in a FoGR Open Tournament if the games conflict with the FoG AM Tournament? I can't create a schedule to suit just a few people. There are around a dozen committed Renaissance gamers who play regardless of what other tournaments are being played and these people a...

Cold Wars 2011 FoGR results
Here are the results of our Open Tournament at Cold Wars with some provisos. 1) The event was 4 games, take your best score from three games. 2) Due to time conflicts, some players were not able to play all 4 games, I have recorded their scores, but only the players who played at least three live op...

Charts?
Would you grant permission for players to make a single copy of the movement and combat charts at the end of the book until an official QRF sheet is produced by the copyright owners? Alternately can tournament organizers make a copy for players which can be collected and used at the next event, agai...

point value of mounted swordsmen?
In the point value chart, the value of a mounted soldier who is melee pistol equipped is 2 points, and if a mounted swordsmen in melee is also 2 points. However I feel this is wrong. Usually if the troop type has an advantage it costs more than another equal troop or if there is a disadvantage they ...

QR Sheet
I have to agree here with Mike, a QR is much better and I am surprised by the lack of one after all the feedback from gamers. Opening and closing the book repeatedly damages the books spine, and leaving it open clogs up the table space. I would have thought a QR sheet on cardstock printed at the end...

In Kevin's defense
"Kevin, in mine and Richard's defense, there is a reference in the index to P122 under Swedish Brigade." Yes but you start reading about the Swedish Brigade much sooner than p122. And if you try the glossary it refers you to the section on Battle Group Formations. The Tercio for example pa...

Aha moment!
What makes you think it isn't covered by a Lost Scrolls army list? 8) Because it isn't listed in the original posting Nik. Because it is cunningly hidden  So what you are saying Nik my boy is that the Early Hebrew are cleverly hidden in the Early Nomad list as they hover in the deserts and st...

Lost Scrolls OY Vey!
I posted in the Swifter than Eagles comments that I felt the BIGGEST omission from the book were the missing tribes of Israel, where are the Early Hebrews? Joshua destroying the Caananites at the Battle of Ai, Benjamanite Slingers, Mighty warriors of Ephraim, Barak at Mt Tabor, Saul and Jonathan bat...

Missing some old friends
I have read and re-reread Swifter than Eagles now a few times and like the majority of the lists and as usual it is a beautiful book. However it seems to be missing some old friends. Where are the Old Hitittes who sacked Babylon in 1595BC? Where are the Gasgans, Arzawans and other Anatolian states t...
