Re: Mod: Better hull designs for Human Corvette and Freighte

Hi - does this still work with the latest version 1.05? Perhaps I am doing something wrong but when I add the CurrentModPath "mods\" line to the Remember file the game always crashes on startup. Love to use the new designs just don't know how!! Edit: Just stumbled upon the solution: Curren...

Re: Act 2 Mission 2 (Breakthrough Operation) seems impossibl

Just finished this on Turn 17, challenging, with a couple pauses along the way to regroup and replenish. I did have to rebuild a Death Company once. The Death Companies, Terminators and Captain Tyco were the main fighting force of my group with everything else pretty much supporting. Because of the ...

Transferring Ownership

Per the thread title, I have two games and an expansion registered with Slitherine I wish to release ownership to transfer to another. What do I need to do or who do I contact to accomplish that? Thank you.

Playing this one a few more times and I am convinced the Germans at least need some indirect fire capability to balance the Allied M8s. Currently it is very unbalanced in the Allies' favor.

After a battle is finished, I would really like to be able to scan and review the battlefield. As it stands now you watch the replay then are faced with the 'Objective Completed' popup and are taken to the results summary - not very satisfying imo.

Yes it did eventually recover and start updating again, not sure how long it took. TBH I can live with that :)

Ok perhaps not all is well. Left the computer for a bit, enough for it to go to sleep. When I wake up the computer I check the Systray first thing and it says no turns waiting, I quickly check the BA PBEM server and see I do have turns, so I close the BA program and I wait about 10 minutes to see if...

Thanks for the help Pip. I found the Startup(duh!) and will give the new Systray tool a go and let you know.

Edit: Seems to be updating/working properly now. Thanks!

Trying this out and it did notify me when I had a turn waiting, however after finishing and sending the turn off it is still flashing 10-15 minutes later and saying there is a turn waiting when there isn't. How often does it update itself? Also am using Win7, where would I put it so it loads every t...

James Allen is a respected reviewer and I think his review is pretty accurate and fair at 6/8. It is a very fun game, but there is a lot of room for improvement, whether UI or gameplay. The second reviewer 'Nelson' obviously didn't like it at all and seems more biased, 5/10 seems pretty low overall,...

That's good to hear Iain re OpFire. At what range are we talking about? I am not sure this addresses some of the excessive 'shoot/scoot' issues which is really related to movement. From another thread: adherbal wrote: I wonder if it would make sense to add a "static shot" that consumes not...

I am up to giving this one a go. Any takers? Zonso - did you find yourself an opponent? Our multiplayer battle the other week was a blast and it would be fun to try insidius' scenario. Or if anyone else would like to try it with me...? Yes I did, however if you want a match PM me and we will set on...

Tigers and other German tanks may have had slow turret speeds, but they could do something most Allied tanks couldn't - namely rotate in place. If you are going to model one, you will have to model the other imo. Another huge advantage of the Tiger rarely modelled is the stable firing platform, most...

I am of the same conclusion as the op in regards the M8s - they can totally negate all of the open-top German HTs, ACs and SPATs alone without even taking into account the M5s and M24s. The Germans have to be extremely lucky just to take out the Allied tanks because once you fire you are spotted, ev...

Moving already has a chance to hit penalty. Are you suggesting a heavier accuracy penalty? I guess we don't notice this because while moving you lessen the range which results into better accuracy. Hunt is useful but it prevents you from doing shoot and scoot which can lead to the unit's death in t...

I have won from both sides in Clash of Armour - both sides have their strengths/weaknesses and of course there is luck!

Just trying Street Fighting from the German side first time though I agree the M8 is a pretty potent weapon, as is most indirect fire in this game.
