Just a thought:

End of AO45 ahistorical is a retake of the indian corridor to finally beat the British, but's a battle you cannot win (!) even with your most experienced core from SCW and even how often you try ...

Then a/some 'AO West/Africa'-DLC with the goal to reach near the indian corridor to enable the progress into a possible AO46...

Impossible stuff is never a good thing in games.
You already got the historical part of the game, where you win every single battle and stomp the allies into the ground but finally you will lose the war.

The 'impossible' end is meant as a cliffhanger (and maybe for some fun with the engine)
You could only go into '46 with your core by completing the Africa-DLCs (starting with a new core, of course).

Suggestion: If you are attacking a 2 STR unit with, say, a double attack fighter and the combat equation reads 0/1 for the first shot, you fire and kill 1 STR plus add 1 suppression to the enemy unit (leaving a 1 STR completely suppressed unit), make it so the second shot equation does not read 0/0.

I support this idea wholeheartedly. I have copied all the scenarios in the scenario folder, so it kinda acts as mission select, but the game still look for some campaign-variables in some scenarios, leading to potential bugs

Self-Directed_ Independent "Game Set-Up":

What if i am interested in wanting to try to replicate some particular historical conflict event,... or just wanting to possibly fabricate a conflict situation premise to analyze or check out a particular theory or whatever,... where-then i could... or would determine which side will be designated as the "AI-Player"... or even if both sides would be directed by the "AI".

Can something like this be put into practice without too-much difficulty?. Eventually... when an opportunity presents itself?... if it ever does?... it would be great to have an expanded list of military-hardware of all sorts... of different time periods... if possible with which... one could then use to engineer whatever it is that they wish to create.

please set the win conditions for generated mulitplayer maps for the mayor strongholds (cities f.g.) to "all". Otherwise sometimes matches are over on turn 3...

yeah i don't know how that would work maybe go with the idea of you did not complete seconder objectives but you complete the mission most game do this from what i have seen but still there no comudation rewards for the past missions

Suggestions for future DLC;

Can we always show the world map, and current/changing territory plus an icon of where the battle is taking place before each mission briefing?

Reason I ask is because during the AO, focused on the Eastern front, it's pretty cool when we do get a sense of the scale of the front line. However, later on when Italy is supposedly failing, etc, I'm struggling to picture how the territory is at each moment.

Just a minor suggestion tbh.

Yeah, I am asking for this feature since SCW :)

Its way better in the ahistorical part, since the devs need to explain whats is going on.
In the histrorical part the devs are a little bit lazy or presume the players know the map very well and how fight was going on.

i tend to use the air-mode quite frequently. something i am hoping for for long is to include the AA guns in the visible units.
i know it´s not as easy to have air-units only, but would def be very handy.

Quick thought, not sure if it's been mentioned, but better use of heroes by the AI. When activating the Heroic Showdown option, some units end up getting a hero that doesn't really work for that unit type or they get a hero that has no real benefit to the AI - for example, an infantry unit might get a hero with the artillery support ability, or a tank could get zero slots or fast learner. None of these three heroes are useful really. So, having the AI heroes assigned more sensibly - possibly based on a list of possibilities for each unit type - would be great.

Very interesting AO1946 i USA altought unrealistic if you cobider the maritime domain. I would suggest to consider a more realistic scenario in Europe 1946/47 confronting the western allies against soviet forces and struggling for for the control of the eastern part of europe. IThe first scenario of the campaign could be a green light to Patton's 5th Arm. Div. to proceed eastward as proposed by the General in 1945. Of course, like in Pacific Campaign the core forces should be US UK and other western allies.

Agreed!... "alternatively however!"... i would only make this request... and that is to have the "Option"... to either "Include or exclude"... these "Monster-Devices" in the U.S. Land Campaign. I would like to try it out both-ways!... with or without these "Monster-Tanks".

Hi I feel the D-Day mission 1944 DLC a historical mission should be more then one mission long. I feel it should be about 4 missions in total. The first mission should be we hold the line on the first day of it happening. The second mission should be us with some of our ground forces trying to stop the fall of Cherborge. The three mission is to destroy the US Three army from breaking out of the beach head. Last should be the end of D-Day as we help finish off what leave of the Allies and prevent there retreat like our invasion of Great Britain in 1940 DLC.

If the "Omaha Beach-Head-Assault" had failed... then very likely the overall "Normandie" invasion effort could have collapsed or failed.. there and then!.

The Speech Eisenhower Never Gave On The Normandy Invasion:
"Our landings in the Cherbourg-Havre area have failed to gain a satisfactory foothold and I have withdrawn the troops," Eisenhower wrote. "My decision to attack at this time and place was based upon the best information available. The troops, the air and the Navy did all that bravery and devotion to duty could do. If any blame or fault attaches to the attempt it is mine alone."

That the idea is that throw in the Patton Third Army would help left pressure on the advance to Cherbourg to make so that the Soviet offense in the east could work out as will and Stalin said that he will not attack the Germans if D-day not pull more troops away from his forces
